10 REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 5, 1981 INSTALL NO PARKING BUS ZONE 8AM - 4PM - East side of 400 S. Lake from Western Avenue south approximately 400' to driveway into Harrison School. REQUESTS TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES Requests were received from Mr. Willie Wiggins, 1007 West LaSalle Street, inquiring into the possible purchase of a city - owned lot located at 1001 West LaSalle, and from Ms: Jackie Taylor, 522 Milton Street, inquiring into the possible purchase of a Bureau of Housing property located at 526 Milton Street. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the requests were referred to the various city agencies for a determination as to whether or not the city retain the properties for any reason. APPROVAL OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTS Mr. Leszczynski advised that approval was needed for the following Community Development contracts: Contract between Community Development and Southold Heritage Foundation for administering a rehabilitation loan program for lower income, moderate and middle Q income residents of the West Washington Historic District, with a total budget not to exceed $10,960.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above contract was approved. Contract between Community Development and the Department of Public Works for improving existing residential streets, curbs and gutters within a CD target area (Cleveland Street from California to Lincolnway West), with a total budget not to exceed $60,000.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above contract was approved. Contract between Community Development and the Department of Public Parks for softball diamond lighting at Walker Field, with a total budget not to exceed $60,000.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above contract was approved. Contract between Community Development and Legal Services to provide legal services to neighborhood strategy area residents, with a total budget not to exceed $22,500.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above contract was approved. Contract between Community Development and Economic Development and Redevelopment to complete construction on the First Bank Center Project and provide payment to all contractors, with a total budget not to exceed $230,000.00 utilizing 1981 funds. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above contract was approved. Contract between Community Development and Economic Development and Redevelopment to complete construction on the First Bank Center Proejct and provide payment to all contractors, with a total budget not to exceed $400,000.00 utilizing 1980 funds. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above contract was approved.
