He felt it was the city's responsibility to remove
the nest. Mr. Hill explained to Councilman Szymkowiak that it is
the property owner's responsibility to maintain his property. He
advised Councilman Szymkowiak that the property owner had informed
the city he would have the nest taken care of, and fortunately
Council President Lew McGann had been able to make certain arrange-
ments to help in the removal of the nest. Councilman Szymkowiak
maintained that he felt it would have been proper for the city to
have the nest removed in the interests of the public safety. Mr.
Hill stated that, according to the ordinance, the city must give
a two-day notice to the property owner to take care of the problem
before it can do anything. With the assistance of Mr. McGann,
the problem had been resolved to everyone's satisfaction.
There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a
motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried,
the meeting was adjourned at 10:05 a.m.
John E.
