<br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR AND HOMEOWNER.AGREEMENTS —BUREAU OF
<br />HOUSING NEIGHBORHOOD PAINT -UP PROGRAM - 420' N.' CUSHING (NWS)
<br />Ms. Janet S. Holston, Director, Bureau of Housing, presented
<br />to the Board for approval a Neighborhood Paint -Up Program
<br />Agreement for the Rehabilitation of Real Property between
<br />the Board of Public Works and Homeowner(s) and a Neighborhood
<br />Paint -:Up Program Agreement for the Repair of Real Property,
<br />between the Board of Public Works and Contractors The
<br />Agreement with the Homeowner is with Ms. Wanda Kies for
<br />the house located at 420 North Cushing Street, South Bend,
<br />Indiana. The Agreement with Contractor is with Charles
<br />Brown Maintenance Co., Inc. and is in the amount of $500.00.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski.,:seconded by Mr. Hill
<br />and carried, the above Agreements were approved and executed.
<br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill
<br />and carried, the following six (6) handicapped parking permits
<br />were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office
<br />for issuance:
<br />Helen Zack, 335 Ostemo, S.B.
<br />Frances Tucker, 11955 Wagner, Mish.
<br />Frances L. Gann, 14233 Dragoon,. Mish.
<br />Leo Golubski, 56066 Quince, S.B.
<br />Sister M. Edward Toth, 731 W. Calvert, S.B.
<br />Wimmer W. Resler, 416 N. Main, S.B.
<br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill
<br />and carried, the following four (4) traffic control devices
<br />were approved:
<br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Cape Cod Lane at Georgian Dr.
<br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Cape Cod Lane at Colonial Lane.
<br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Colonial Lane at Provincial.
<br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Gladstone at Bonfield.
<br />(These were all Uncontrolled "T" Intersections).
<br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS
<br />A list containing a total of one hundred three (103) lots.
<br />ordered cleaned by the Director of the Department of Code
<br />Enforcement, was submitted. It was noted that the property
<br />owners had been advised to clean-up the lots and had failed
<br />to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded
<br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was filed.
<br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BONDS
<br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., Engineering Department, recom-
<br />mended the Board release the Contractor's Bonds of Gerald
<br />G. Pierce, 618 South Jackson Street, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />effective August 22, 1983, and that of Pokagon Corporation,
<br />Inc., effective August 22, 1983. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above
<br />Contractor's Bonds were released.
<br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS
<br />Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA
<br />Consortium, submitted a report indicating fifty-two (52)
<br />purchase orders and recommended approval of payment. Chief
<br />Deputy Controller Sherrie L. Petz, submitted Claim Docket
<br />No. 16545 to Claims Docket No. 17174 and recommended approval.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill
<br />and carried, the above reports were filed and the claims
<br />approved.
