REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 1, 1983 <br />31.3 <br />MC INTYRE & JONES CONSTRUCTION Bid was signed by Kenneth A. <br />2526 West 6th Street McIntyre, President and Dorothy <br />Mishawaka,.Indiana 46544 McIntyre, Secretary, Non -Collusion <br />Affidavit was in order and a 5% <br />Bid Bond was submitted. <br />TOTAL AMOUNT OF BID: $13,887.88 <br />Board Attorney Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer advised that the bid <br />received from Papczynski Construction, Inc., 23800 State Road <br />4, Lakeville, Indiana 46536 wasnotsigned and recommended <br />that the Board not accept the.bid due to this defect. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the bid of Papczynski Construction, Inc. was <br />rejected and not read. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the above bid was referred to the Engineering <br />Department for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - CAR WASHES FOR CITY VEHICLES <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed <br />bids for car washes for city vehicles. The Clerk tendered <br />proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. <br />The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />HI -SPEED AUTO WASH Bid was signed by Sam Cossman, <br />609 East LaSalle President and Virginia Cossman, <br />South Bend, Indiana 46617, Secretary, -Non -Collusion <br />Affidavit was in order and a <br />Certified Check in the amount <br />of $350.00 was submitted. <br />1. Full -service car wash, 0-100 units per month $2.75 each <br />2. Full -service car wash, 100 or more units per month 2.50 <br />3. Wet Wash only, 0-100 units per month 2.00 <br />4. Wet Wash only, 100 or more units per month 1.75 <br />DON'S MARATHON & CAR WASH Bid was signed by Donald Zwierzynski, <br />1836 South Michigan President and Sharon K. Zwierzynski., <br />South Bend, Indiana Secretary, Non-Collusion.Affidavit <br />was in order and a Certified Check <br />in the amount of $100.00 was <br />submitted. <br />3. Wet wash only, 0-100 units per month $1.60 <br />4. Wet wash only, 100 or more units per month 1.45 <br />Board Attorney Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer advised .that the bid <br />received from Comet Car Wash, 1804 L.W.W., South Bend, Indiana <br />46628, was.not signed and recommended that the Board not <br />accept the bid due to this defect. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the bid <br />of Comet Car Wash.was rejected and not read. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the above bids were referred to the Police <br />Department for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - DE-ICING MATERIALS FOR STREET DEPARTMENT <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed <br />bids for de-icing materials for the Street Department. The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South <br />Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be <br />sufficient.
