REGULAR MEETING JULY 11, 1983 <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 17-1983 - SALE OF CITY -OWNED <br />PROPERTY AT 613 SOUTH RUSH STREET <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the following Resolution No. 17-1983 for the <br />purchase of city -owned property at613South Rush Street <br />was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO.' 17-1983 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of <br />South Bend has.compiled a current detailed inventory <br />of all real property owned by the City of South.Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said <br />inventory of real property and it finds that certain of <br />the parcels of real estate now owned by the City of South <br />Bend, are not necessary to the public use and are not <br />set aside by state and city laws for public purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board'of Public Works now wishes to take <br />the necessary action to make it possible for the 'Board, in <br />the future to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant <br />to State Statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public <br />Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />That the parcel of real estate owned by the <br />City contained in the following list is not <br />necessary to the public use and is not set. <br />aside by state or city law for public purposes: <br />'Address Deed NO. <br />613 S. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />APPROVE PURCHASE AGREE14ENT - SALE OF CITY -OWNED <br />PROPERTY AT 613 SOUTH RUSH STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that a.Purchase Agreement was being <br />submitted at this time for Board approval for the sale of <br />613 South Rush Street to Southold Heritage Foundation, Inc. <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that an appraisal was made and the <br />offering price for the property is $530.00. The Clerk <br />was instructed to contact Southold and indicate the City's <br />willingness to sell the property at the appraised sum of. <br />$530.00 with any further negotiation to be done in con- <br />currence with Mr. Kernan's approval. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />Purchase Agreement was approved and executed. After execution <br />of the document by Southold Heritage Foundation, Inc. the <br />appropriate Quit -Claim Deed will be presented to them. <br />
