REGULAR MEETING JULY 11, 1983 ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 17-1983 - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 613 SOUTH RUSH STREET Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following Resolution No. 17-1983 for the purchase of city -owned property at613South Rush Street was adopted: RESOLUTION NO.' 17-1983 WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has.compiled a current detailed inventory of all real property owned by the City of South.Bend; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said inventory of real property and it finds that certain of the parcels of real estate now owned by the City of South Bend, are not necessary to the public use and are not set aside by state and city laws for public purposes; and WHEREAS, the Board'of Public Works now wishes to take the necessary action to make it possible for the 'Board, in the future to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant to State Statutes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That the parcel of real estate owned by the City contained in the following list is not necessary to the public use and is not set. aside by state or city law for public purposes: 'Address Deed NO. 613 S. Parmerlee, Clerk APPROVE PURCHASE AGREE14ENT - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 613 SOUTH RUSH STREET Mr. Leszczynski stated that a.Purchase Agreement was being submitted at this time for Board approval for the sale of 613 South Rush Street to Southold Heritage Foundation, Inc. Mr. Leszczynski stated that an appraisal was made and the offering price for the property is $530.00. The Clerk was instructed to contact Southold and indicate the City's willingness to sell the property at the appraised sum of. $530.00 with any further negotiation to be done in con- currence with Mr. Kernan's approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Purchase Agreement was approved and executed. After execution of the document by Southold Heritage Foundation, Inc. the appropriate Quit -Claim Deed will be presented to them.
