257 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 13. 1983 <br />exceed $80,044.00 with activities associated with the moving <br />of the above referred to structure not to exceed $28,000.00. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above Community Development Addendum was approved. <br />AWARD BID - MAPLE ROAD INTERSECTION TURN LANES ON S.R. 23 <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Neil Shanahan, Manager,. Bureau <br />of Public Construction, recommended that the Board award <br />the bid of Ritschard Brothers, Inc., 1204 West Sample Street, <br />South Bend, for the above referred to project in the amount <br />of $75,188.29. It was noted that the bids for this project <br />were opened on May 23, 1983 and the bid of Ritschard <br />Brothers, Inc. was the low bid meeting specifications. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the above bid was awarded. <br />CONTINUATION AND ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 15-1983 - <br />DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE VEHICLES <br />It was noted that the matter of the above referred to resolu- <br />tion was continued until today's meeting. Mr. Leszczynski <br />advised that the resolution authorizes the disposal of the <br />vehicles at a public auction which will be held on July 1, <br />1983 at the Municipal Services Facility. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the following resolution was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15-1983 <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of. <br />Public Works that the'city-owned vehicles listed on <br />the attached sheet are obsolete and no longer needed <br />or are unfit for the purposes.for which they were intended. <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6 permits the sale of <br />personal property no longer needed or obsolete. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public <br />Works of the City of South Bend that the thirty-three (33) <br />vehicles shown on the attachment to this Resolution are <br />obsolete and not needed by the City of South Bend. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bureau of Vehicle <br />Maintenance be authorized to dispose of said vehicles <br />at a public auction in accordance with state low and to <br />thereafter remove same from the City Vehicle Inventory. <br />ADOPTED this�h th day of June, 1983. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ John E.
