257 REGULAR MEETING JUNE 13. 1983 exceed $80,044.00 with activities associated with the moving of the above referred to structure not to exceed $28,000.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Community Development Addendum was approved. AWARD BID - MAPLE ROAD INTERSECTION TURN LANES ON S.R. 23 In a letter to the Board, Mr. Neil Shanahan, Manager,. Bureau of Public Construction, recommended that the Board award the bid of Ritschard Brothers, Inc., 1204 West Sample Street, South Bend, for the above referred to project in the amount of $75,188.29. It was noted that the bids for this project were opened on May 23, 1983 and the bid of Ritschard Brothers, Inc. was the low bid meeting specifications. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above bid was awarded. CONTINUATION AND ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 15-1983 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE VEHICLES It was noted that the matter of the above referred to resolu- tion was continued until today's meeting. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the resolution authorizes the disposal of the vehicles at a public auction which will be held on July 1, 1983 at the Municipal Services Facility. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following resolution was adopted: RESOLUTION NO. 15-1983 WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of. Public Works that the'city-owned vehicles listed on the attached sheet are obsolete and no longer needed or are unfit for the purposes.for which they were intended. WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6 permits the sale of personal property no longer needed or obsolete. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend that the thirty-three (33) vehicles shown on the attachment to this Resolution are obsolete and not needed by the City of South Bend. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance be authorized to dispose of said vehicles at a public auction in accordance with state low and to thereafter remove same from the City Vehicle Inventory.
