251 REGULAR MEETING JUNE 6, 1983 equal opportunity to all firms interested, the proposal process through the Board of Public Works is being utilized. Chief Brassell indicatedthatthe facility chosen should be located within the City of South Bend, should provide a fully equipped and professionally supervised exercise facility including locker and shower facilities at the principal location, provide on staff, a qualified exercise physiologist to supervise and administertheprogram, assure presence of qualified medical doctor(s) to supervise maximal stress tests and provide a detailed proposal related to performing certain physical evaluation on approximately 230 male adults. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS - INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR'SAFETYVILLE In a letter to the Board, Mr. Jack Benchik, Treasurer of the Mayor's Citizens Traffic Commission requested that the Board of Public Works advertise an invitation for recein,t of insurance proposals for insurance coverage for Safetyville and its related equipment and materials. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - MONROE PARK PHASE IV CURB & LANDSCAPING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Neil Shanahan, Manager, Bureau of Construction, requested permission to advertise for receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. APPROVE TITLE SHEET - MONR.OE PARK PHASE IV CURB AND LANDSCAPING IMPROVEMENTS'PROJECT Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to Project was being presented to the Board at this time for approval and execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Title Sheet was approved and executed. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS PAINT AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NEIGHBORHOOD PAINT -UP PROGRAM In a memorandum to the Board, Ms. Janet Holston of the Bureau of Housing requested permission to advertise for bids from area paint distributors for the supplying of paint and technical assistance to the Community Development Neighbor- hood Paint -Up Program. Ms. Pfotenhauer advised that it is the desire of the Bureau of Housing that an award be made on the same day which bids are opened. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES Ms. Katherine Barnard, Director of the Department of Code Enforcement requested permission to advertise for the sale of approximately nineteen (19) abandoned vehicles, ten (10) of which were valued at over One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and all of which were being stored at Hurwich Impoundment Lot, 1610 Circle Avenue. It was noted that all vehicles have been stored more than the required thirty (30) days, identification checks had been run for auto theft, and the owners and lienholders notified. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved and a date of June 20, 1983 was established for the receipt of sealed bids.
