REGULAR MEETING MAY 31, 1983 <br />I <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA <br />Consortium, submitted a report indicating thirty-four (34) <br />purchase orders and recommended approval of payment. <br />Chief Deputy Controller Sherrie L. Petz submitted Claim <br />Docket No. 10141 through Docket No. 10838 and recommended <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the reports were filed and the <br />claims approved. <br />INTRODUCTION OF SUMMER INTERN CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE <br />Mr. Hill advised that in the audience was a new member of <br />his staff, Ms. Susan Faccenda„ who is serving as a volunteer <br />intern this summer. Mr. Hill advised that Ms. Faccenda, an <br />undergraduate, is a fourth year governmentmajorat the <br />University of Notre Dame. The Board joined Mr. Hill in <br />welcoming Ms. Faccenda to the City staff. <br />OFFER TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - GEYER CONSTRUCTION <br />Mr. William A. Geyer, President -of Geyer Construction and <br />Development Company, 67475 Kenilworth Road, Lakeville, <br />Indiana, was in attendance at the meeting and offered to <br />provide additional information to the Board concerning the <br />bid which he submitted to the Board on May 23, 1983 for the <br />Maple Road Intersection Turn Lanes on S.R. 23 project. Mr. <br />Leszczynski advised Mr..Geyer that the Board, at this time, <br />did not have any questions to ask of him and that.he was <br />currently reviewing the bid submitted by Geyer Construction <br />with the City Attorney's Office. Mr. Leszczynski advised <br />that the matter of the award of the bid on this project <br />would be brought to the Board in the near future. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, <br />upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 10:20 a.m. <br />J n E.
