221 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 16. 1983 <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the following two_(2) traffic control <br />devices .as recommended .by Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, <br />Bureau of.Traffic and Lighting, were approved: <br />INSTALL STOP SIGN On Oak at Cottage Grove. <br />INSTALL 30_MPH - Sherman, Queen to Riverside. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr.. Battell, S.B. <br />Mr. & Mrs. Robert Kamp, 67395 Beech, Wakarusa <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS <br />Two lists containing a total of sixty-nine (69) lots ordered <br />cleaned by the Director of the Department of Code Enforcement <br />was submitted. It.was noted that property owners had been <br />advised to clean-up the lots .and had failed to do so. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Kernan and carried, the above report was filed. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - APRIL-1983 <br />The Humane Society monthly report for April indicated the <br />following animals handled for the City of South Bend: <br />Dogs handled: 275 <br />Cats handled: 116 <br />Other animals handled: 64 <br />TOTAL: 455 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Kernan and carried, the above report was filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA <br />Consortium, submitted a report indicating purchase orders <br />totalling eighty-seven (87) and recommended approval of <br />payment. Chief Deputy Controller Sherrie L. Petz submitted <br />Claim Docket No. 8885 to Docket No. 9788 and recommended <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Kernan and carried, the reports were filed and the <br />claims approved. <br />FILING OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report submitted to the Board indicated a total of <br />eight (8) outages for the period April 19 to April 29, 1983. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Kernan and carried, the above report was filed. <br />
