REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 25, 1983 <br />201 <br />1 <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR HORSE AND CARRIAGE SERVICE RECEIVED <br />Ms. Lin Dowdy presented to the Board a letter of support <br />from Mr. Richard Kim Kleisner, Director of Marketing for <br />the Marriott Hotel. She additionally advised the Board <br />that she had made arrangements to lease the old livery at <br />301 LaSalle Street should the Board approve her request to <br />conduct a horse and carriage service in South Bend. Mr. <br />Leszczynski advised Ms. Dowdy that her request is currently <br />being reviewed by the necessary City.departments and bureaus <br />and that the Clerk of the Board would inform her of the date <br />when the. Board will make a decision on the matter. <br />REQUEST FOR INFORMATION CONCERNING STOP LIGHT <br />AT OLIVE AND PRAIRIE <br />Councilman John Voorde addressed the Board and indicated he <br />would be attending a meeting of the Rum Village Neighborhood <br />Association and would like to know if a stop light was going <br />to be erected at the Olive/Prairie intersection.. Mr. <br />Leszczynski advised him that a stop light has been proposed <br />for that intersection and has been in the plans since the <br />inception of the ethanol Plant project. He further advised <br />that a stop light would also be erected .at the Prairie/Maple <br />intersection. It was noted that a warrants process must <br />first be completed and that the cost of the lights would <br />be covered by the UDAG grant awarded to the City. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, <br />upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m. <br />J n Lesz-c-ZyhdkiV <br />Richard L.
