196 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 25, 1983 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:35 a.m, on. Monday, April 25, 1983, by President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. Richard L. Hill and Mr. <br />Joseph E. Kernan present. Also present was Assistant City <br />Attorney Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the minutes of the April 18, 1983, regular meeting of <br />the Board were approved. <br />AGENDA ITEM'MOVED <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Public Hearing on the intended <br />use of Revenue Sharing funds for the Western Avenue Economic <br />Development Initiative would be held later on in the meeting as <br />the person from the Department of Redevelopment speaking on the <br />issue was detained. <br />OPENING AND AWARD OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids <br />for the sale of approximately eight (8) abandoned vehicles, <br />four (4) of which were valued at over One Hundred Dollars <br />($100.00) and all of which have been stored at the Hurwich <br />Impoundment Lot, 1610 Circle Avenue. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- <br />County News which were found to be sufficient. KENMORE, <br />This was the date set for receiving bids for the sale of the city - <br />owned property at 217 North Kenmore. The Clerk tendered proofs <br />of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri- <br />County News which were found to be sufficient. Mr. Leszczynski <br />noted that the City's offering price, based on an appraisal, was <br />$220.00. The following bid was opened and publicly read: <br />
