1 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 7, 1983 <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENAIICE <br />(INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS) <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that this agreement is between the <br />State of Indiana through the Indiana Department of Highways <br />and the City of South Bend for the maintenance of all traffic <br />signals on State Highways as stated in the agreement. The <br />term of the contract is for one year from February 1, 1983 <br />to January 31, 1984 and may be renewed. The Department of <br />Highways will compensate the City for routine maintenance <br />at a flat unit rate per year for each intersection by type <br />as listed in Exhibit A of the Agreement as follows: <br />1. Fixed time Installation $50.00 per year <br />2. Actuated Installation 56.00 per year <br />3. Flashing Beacon Installation 17.00 per year <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill_ <br />and carried, the above referred to agreement was approved. <br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADDENDA <br />The following Community Development addenda were presented <br />to the Board for approval: <br />Addendum I - Rehabilitation Loan Activity <br />The addendum provides for a revised allowable costs <br />section indicating that in no event will the total <br />to be paid by the City to the Agency under this <br />agreement exceed $150,000.00 for full and complete <br />satisfactory performance. <br />Addendum II - Monroe Sample Rehabilitation Loan Activity <br />The addendum provides for a revised allowable costs <br />section indicating that in no event will the total <br />to be paid by the City to the Agency under this <br />agreement exceed $68,000.00 for full and complete <br />satisfactory performance. <br />Addendum I - Homeowner's Emergency Loan Activity <br />The addendum provides for a revised allowable costs <br />section indicating that in no event will the total <br />to be paid by the City to the Agency under this <br />agreement exceed $15,000.00 for full and complete <br />satisfactory performance. <br />Addendum II - Bureau of Housing Management & <br />Inspection Activity <br />This addendum provides for a revised cost categories <br />section, program budget and Appendix II. The total <br />cost of the Bureau of Housing Management & Inspection <br />Activity shallnot exceed 837,000.00. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above addenda were approved: <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - <br />SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Ms. Katherine Barnard, Director of the Department of Code <br />Enforcement, requested permission to advertise for the sale <br />of approximately seven (7) abandoned vehicles, five (5) of <br />which were valued at over One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and <br />all of which were being stored at the Hurwich Impoundment <br />Lot, 1610 Circle Avenue. It was noted that all vehicles <br />had been stored more than the required thirty (30) days, <br />identification checks had been run for auto theft, and the <br />owners and lienholders notified. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request <br />was approved and a date of February 21, 1983, was established <br />for the receipt of sealed bids. <br />
