REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 10, 1983 <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO."1, 1983 (RENEWAL OF <br />SCRAP AND JUNK DEALERS LICENSES) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1, 1983 <br />WHEREAS, license renewal applications for scrap and junk <br />dealers for the year 1983 have been received by the <br />Board of Public Works, and <br />WHEREAS, inspections of the properties have been completed <br />by the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office and the Fire <br />Prevention Bureau as required by Chapter 4, Article 4, <br />Section 4-51 of the Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office and the <br />Fire Prevention Bureau have found that such premises are <br />fit and proper for the maintenance and operation of such <br />a business; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the <br />Municipal Code requires approval of a Resolution of <br />the Board of Public Works recommending the renewal of <br />the license applications. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public <br />Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that the <br />license renewal applications for the following scrap <br />and junk dealers be recommended favorably based upon <br />the satisfactory review of the properties by the <br />Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office and the Fire <br />Prevention Bureau, in addition to those renewal applica- <br />tions acted upon by the Board on December 28, 1982: <br />Hurwich Iron Company 1610 Circle Avenue <br />Super Auto Salvage 3300 South Main <br />South Main Auto Parts 1819 South Main <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be sub- <br />mitted to the Common Council for its consideration and <br />adoption of an appropriate resolution. <br />Dated: Janaury 10, 1983 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ John E. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />Mrs. Katherine Barnard, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, <br />advised the Board that the Resolution before them contained three <br />(3) scrap and junk dealers who were not included in Resolution_ <br />No. 31, 1982, presented to the Board on December 28, 1982. <br />These three (3) dealers needed to make additional repairs and <br />now conform to all requirements. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Board <br />approved the license renewals for these additional dealers. <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 2, 1983 - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2, 1983 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of <br />South Bend has compiled a current detailed inventory <br />of all real property owned by the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEMAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said <br />inventory of real property and it finds that certain of <br />the parcels of real estate now owned by the City of South <br />Bend are not necessary to the public use and are not set <br />aside by state and city laws for public purposes; and <br />
