REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 10, 1983 ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO."1, 1983 (RENEWAL OF SCRAP AND JUNK DEALERS LICENSES) RESOLUTION NO. 1, 1983 WHEREAS, license renewal applications for scrap and junk dealers for the year 1983 have been received by the Board of Public Works, and WHEREAS, inspections of the properties have been completed by the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office and the Fire Prevention Bureau as required by Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office and the Fire Prevention Bureau have found that such premises are fit and proper for the maintenance and operation of such a business; and WHEREAS, Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the Municipal Code requires approval of a Resolution of the Board of Public Works recommending the renewal of the license applications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that the license renewal applications for the following scrap and junk dealers be recommended favorably based upon the satisfactory review of the properties by the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office and the Fire Prevention Bureau, in addition to those renewal applica- tions acted upon by the Board on December 28, 1982: Hurwich Iron Company 1610 Circle Avenue Super Auto Salvage 3300 South Main South Main Auto Parts 1819 South Main BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be sub- mitted to the Common Council for its consideration and adoption of an appropriate resolution. Parmerlee, Clerk Mrs. Katherine Barnard, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, advised the Board that the Resolution before them contained three (3) scrap and junk dealers who were not included in Resolution_ No. 31, 1982, presented to the Board on December 28, 1982. These three (3) dealers needed to make additional repairs and now conform to all requirements. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Board approved the license renewals for these additional dealers. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 2, 1983 - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY RESOLUTION NO. 2, 1983 WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has compiled a current detailed inventory of all real property owned by the City of South Bend; and WHEMAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said inventory of real property and it finds that certain of the parcels of real estate now owned by the City of South Bend are not necessary to the public use and are not set aside by state and city laws for public purposes; and
