9-5 REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 10, 1983 UMBRELLA COVERAGE To be placed through the Bath Agency using the Guarantee National Insurance Company at a premium of $17,784.00. Additionally recommended was that the cost of additional limits of coverage of up to $25,000,000 be.studied over the next few months. Higher limits are recommended as a precaution to the City. CRIME INSURANCE To be placed through the Miller Agency. This was the only quotation received. Additionally, Mr. Kernan thanked all carriers who submitted proposals for insurance coverage and thanked the members of his staff who spent time reviewing the proposals with Corporate Policyholders. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the above recommendations of Corporate Policyholders was approved. APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR STAFF SUPPORT - SOUTH BEND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND CITY OF SOUTH BEND Ms. Eugenia S. Schwartz, Assistant City Attorney, advised the Board that because the South Bend Development Corporation and the City of South Bend share many areas of mutual concern, this agreement will provide for the provision of staff support by City employees to the SBDC. She also stated that the Common Council in Ordinance. No. 7094-82A authorized the City to enter into this type of agreement. Duties performed will directly relate to carrying out redevelopment and/or economic development and/or community development plans of the City of South Bend. Mr. Hill stated that this Agreement was approved by the Executive Committee of the SBDC at their meeting a week ago. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the Board approved this Agreement. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND TEAMSTERS LOCAL UNION NO. 364 Mr. Joseph E. Kernan, City Controller, submitted for Board execution the Agreement between the City of South Bend and Teamsters Local Union No. 364, effective January 1, 1983 through April 30, 1985. Additionally submitted were supplemental agreements for the following city bureaus for 1983 with Teamsters Local No. 364: - Bureau of Cemeteries - Bureau of Building Maintenance - Bureau of Waste Water — Bureau of Water - Bureau of Streets - Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance Neighborhood Code Enforcement - Bureau of Sanitation - Bureau of Solid Waste Bureau of Traffic and Lighting Mr. Kernan stated that this two year agreement was negotiated with the Teamsters Union which represents approximately 300 hourly city employees. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above agreement and supplements were approved.
