V REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 4, 1983 FILING OF REVISED PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT ROLL - SOUTH BEND AVENUE SANITARY SEWER PROJECT - (IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3517-1982) A revised preliminary assessment roll in the South Bend Avenue Sanitary Sewer Project was presented to the Board for filing. This revised preliminary assessment roll is the result of action taken by the Board of Public Works on November 1, 1982, which amended Improvement Resolution No. 3517, 1982, eliminating East Charles Street from the project. APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT - SALE OF 401 EAST SOUTH STREET Mr. Leszczynski stated that, in accordance with the bid awarded on November 1, 1983, for purchase of the city -owned lot located at 401 East South Street by John Webber, 114 East Stanley Street, Mishawaka, Indiana in the amount of $300.00, the Purchase Agreement was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Purchase Agreement was approved and the matter referred to the Legal Department for drafting of the appropriate QuitClaim Deed. APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT - SALE OF LOT LOCATED AT CHAPIN. OAK AND SCOTT STREETS Mr. Leszczynski stated that, in accordance with the bid awarded on November 1, 1983, for purchase of the city -owned lot located at Chapin, Oak and Scott Streets by Joseph R. Doyle, c/o Richard D. Doyle, 913 West Colfax, South Bend, Indiana in the amount of $190.00, the Purchase Agreement was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the Purchase Agreement was approved and the matter referred to the Legal Department for drafting of the appropriate QuitClaim Deed. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS Rubbish and Garbage Removal License applications were received from: Hurie Lee Hetteson, 1054 Georgianna, South Bend Wieford Smith, 1614 Longley, South Bend Jessie J. Love, 309 South Iowa, South Bend It was noted by Mr. Leszczynski that completed Solid Waste Vehicle Inspection Reports were attached to the above applica- tions and all were found to be in compliance. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above license applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance. FILE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS A list containing 85 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of the Department of Code Enforcement was submitted. It was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up the lots and had failed to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the environmental list was filed. APPROVAL ANNUAL MARCH FOR LIFE PARADE SPONSORED BY THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS - JANUARY 23, 1983 Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, recommended approval of the annual March for Life Parade scheduled for January 23, 1983, at 1:30 p.m., sponsored by the Knights of Columbus in accordance with the route submitted beginning from the Knights of Columbus parking lot at 815 North Michigan Street; thence west on Park Lane one block to Main Street; south on Main to Wayne; and west on Wayne to St. Patrick's Church, 309 South Taylor. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the parade was approved as recommended. 1 1
