V <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 4, 1983 <br />FILING OF REVISED PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT ROLL - SOUTH BEND AVENUE <br />SANITARY SEWER PROJECT - (IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3517-1982) <br />A revised preliminary assessment roll in the South Bend Avenue <br />Sanitary Sewer Project was presented to the Board for filing. <br />This revised preliminary assessment roll is the result of <br />action taken by the Board of Public Works on November 1, 1982, <br />which amended Improvement Resolution No. 3517, 1982, eliminating <br />East Charles Street from the project. <br />APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT - SALE OF 401 EAST SOUTH STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that, in accordance with the bid awarded <br />on November 1, 1983, for purchase of the city -owned lot located <br />at 401 East South Street by John Webber, 114 East Stanley <br />Street, Mishawaka, Indiana in the amount of $300.00, the <br />Purchase Agreement was being submitted for Board approval. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the Purchase Agreement was approved and the <br />matter referred to the Legal Department for drafting of the <br />appropriate QuitClaim Deed. <br />APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT - SALE OF LOT LOCATED <br />AT CHAPIN. OAK AND SCOTT STREETS <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that, in accordance with the bid awarded <br />on November 1, 1983, for purchase of the city -owned lot located <br />at Chapin, Oak and Scott Streets by Joseph R. Doyle, c/o Richard <br />D. Doyle, 913 West Colfax, South Bend, Indiana in the amount <br />of $190.00, the Purchase Agreement was being submitted for Board <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Kernan and carried, the Purchase Agreement was approved <br />and the matter referred to the Legal Department for drafting <br />of the appropriate QuitClaim Deed. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS <br />Rubbish and Garbage Removal License applications were received <br />from: <br />Hurie Lee Hetteson, 1054 Georgianna, South Bend <br />Wieford Smith, 1614 Longley, South Bend <br />Jessie J. Love, 309 South Iowa, South Bend <br />It was noted by Mr. Leszczynski that completed Solid Waste <br />Vehicle Inspection Reports were attached to the above applica- <br />tions and all were found to be in compliance. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, <br />the above license applications were approved and referred to <br />the Deputy Controller's office for issuance. <br />FILE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS <br />A list containing 85 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of <br />the Department of Code Enforcement was submitted. It was noted <br />that property owners had been advised to clean up the lots and <br />had failed to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the environmental list <br />was filed. <br />APPROVAL ANNUAL MARCH FOR LIFE PARADE SPONSORED BY <br />THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS - JANUARY 23, 1983 <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, recommended approval of the annual March for Life <br />Parade scheduled for January 23, 1983, at 1:30 p.m., sponsored <br />by the Knights of Columbus in accordance with the route <br />submitted beginning from the Knights of Columbus parking lot <br />at 815 North Michigan Street; thence west on Park Lane one <br />block to Main Street; south on Main to Wayne; and west on <br />Wayne to St. Patrick's Church, 309 South Taylor. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the parade was approved as recommended. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
