REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 28,'1982 <br />N <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of <br />at 9:30 a.m., December 28, 1982, by <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, <br />Mr. Joseph E. Kernan present. Also <br />City Attorney Eugenia Schwartz.. <br />Public Works was convened <br />President John E. <br />Mr. Richard L. Hill and <br />present was Assistant <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the minutes of the December 20, 1982, regular <br />meeting of the Board were approved as submitted. <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 31, 9982 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 31, 1982 <br />WHEREAS, license renewal applications for scrap and junk <br />dealers for the year 1983 have been received by the <br />Board of Public Works; and <br />WHEREAS, inspections of the properties have been <br />completed by the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office <br />and the Fire Prevention Bureau as required by Chapter <br />4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office and <br />the Fire Prevention Bureau have found that such <br />premises are fit and proper for the maintenance and <br />operation of such a business; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the <br />Municipal Code requires approval of a Resolution of <br />the Board of Public Works recommending the renewal <br />of the license applications. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />that the license renewal applications for the follow- <br />ing scrap and junk dealers be recommended favorably <br />based upon the satisfactory review of the properties <br />by the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office and the <br />Fire Prevention Bureau: <br />Herbert Alpern-Max Schneider Co. <br />A-1 Auto Parts <br />Hurwich Iron Co. <br />Hurwich Iron Co. <br />Indiana Iron & Metal <br />South Bend Auto Parts <br />South Bend Baling & Iron Co. <br />South Bend Iron & Metal Co. <br />South Bend Waste Paper Co. <br />Steve & Gene's Auto Truck Salvage <br />North Side Iron & Paper, <br />Western Iron & Metal <br />Metal Resources <br />Metal Resources <br />Weaver Truck & Equipment <br />429 W.
