<br />Permission was requested to use the same route as in previous years
<br />starting and finishing at Howard Park along North Side Boulevard
<br />under the bridge on Twyckenham, turning on 21st Street to Vine,
<br />Vine to Greenlawn, and Greenlawn back to north Side Boulevard
<br />and return. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by
<br />Mr. Hill and carried, the request was referred to the Bureau of
<br />Traffic and Lighting and the Police Traffic Division for review
<br />and recommendation.
<br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT RALLY ON RIVER BEND PLAZA -
<br />POLISH AMERICAN CONGRESS
<br />A request was received from Matthew Baran, President of the South
<br />Bend Chapter of the Polish American Congress, for permission to
<br />conduct a rally commemorating the 1st anniversary of martial law
<br />in Poland to be held on Monday, December 13, 1982, at 12:00 noon.
<br />It was noted that the plaza area owned by the St. Joseph Bank &
<br />Trust Company would be used for the rally; however, undoubtedly
<br />a portion of River Bend Plaza will be'utilized for the rally
<br />participants. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded
<br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved.
<br />APPROVE RELEASE OF EXCAVATION AND CONTRACTOR'S BONDS
<br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak recommended the Board release the following
<br />Excavation and Contractor's Bonds as requested:
<br />Excavation
<br />Sid s Plumbing and Heating
<br />Contractor
<br />Northern Indiana Public Service Company
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and
<br />carried, the above bonds were released.
<br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and
<br />carried, the following traffic control devices as recommended by
<br />Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting,
<br />were approved:
<br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Bartlett at Riverside
<br />REVISE TO 30 MINUTE PARKING 6AM-6PM - 1602-1610 Miami
<br />REVISE TO STOP SIGN - On Victoria & Twyckenham
<br />REVISE TO STOP SIGN - Northwest corner on Varsity at Wilson
<br />INSTALL NO PARKING East side of 1600 Marietta (Studebaker school)
<br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and
<br />carried, the following handicapped parking permits were approved
<br />and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance:
