F0 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 22,'1982 <br />APPROVE SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENTS TO CONSULTING AGREEMENTS <br />(ETHANOL PLANT) - COLE ASSOCIATE'S <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that supplemental agreements were <br />being submitted to the Board concerning the Consulting <br />Agreement approved by the Board on November 8, 1982 with <br />Cole Associates for the design of public improvements, and <br />access roads and utilities at the Ethanol Plant. He explained <br />that the supplemental agreements to the previously approved <br />agreements would provide part-time inspection to supplement <br />the city's inspection forces on an on -call basis only. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the supplemental agreements were approved. <br />APPROVE LEASE WITH REDEVELOPMENT - SURFACE PARKING, <br />DISPOSITION PARCELS 8-9 AND 8-11 <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the annual lease with the Redevelop- <br />ment Department for lease by the city of two parcels of land <br />owned by Redevelopment immediately north of the License Branch <br />on Michigan Street for surface parking was in effect on a <br />month -to -month basis. The Redevelopment Department had <br />submitted for Board execution a lease to commence on <br />December 1, 1982. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the Lease was approved. <br />Mr. Kernan advised that the city would be discussing a <br />proposed lease with the License Bureau for that property to <br />be used for surface parking. <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 27, 1982 - DISPOSE OF <br />FIRE DEPART14ENT VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT <br />RESOLUTION NO. 27, 1982 <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public <br />Works that the following vehicle and equipment are <br />obsolete and deteriorated to the point where repair <br />costs would exceed their value; <br />Fire Department - 19'64 American LaFrance fire truck <br />Serial No. 120400 <br />Reserve Eng. #82 <br />2 MRL-SL450 Heart Monitors <br />Serial #943 and #948 <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 186, Acts of 1967, of the Indiana <br />General Assembly, permits the sale of personal property <br />no longer needed or obsolete. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public <br />Works of the City of South Bend that the above listed <br />vehicle and equipment are obsolete and not needed by <br />the City of South Bend. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bureau of Vehicle <br />Maintenance be authorized to scrap said vehicle and <br />the Fire Department be authorized to scrap the 2 <br />heart monitors and that they be removed from the <br />City Inv.entorv, <br />Dated: November 22, 1982 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ John E.
