45 <br />REGULAR MEETING NO.VEMBER 15, 1982 <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, recommended approval of the following traffic <br />control devices: <br />INSTALL NO PARKING ANY TIME Ardmore Trail - Bendix <br />to approximately 150' west of Sheridan, both sides <br />of street. <br />REVISE TO NO PARKING THIS SIDE - East side of 100 N. <br />Niles Avenue, south one-half block. <br />INSTALL NO PARKING THIS SIDE — Side of*300 LaMonte. <br />REMOVE 2 HOUR PARKING 6AM - 6PM - East side of 500 <br />N. Michigan, north one-half block. <br />REMOVE 30 MINUTE PARKING - 1406 Western. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the above traffic control devices were approved. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION <br />A license application for the Community Coordinated Child Care <br />of St. Joseph County for the sale of hot chocolate during the <br />Holiday Parade to be held on Saturday, November 20, 1982,.was <br />submitted. The organization requested the use of one of the <br />city's tents to set up a stand in the area near the Robertson's <br />stage. The Clerk advised that Mr. John Kagel of the Downtown <br />South Bend Council, sponsors of the Holiday Parade, were of <br />the opinion that the stand would be a welcome addition to <br />the parade and recommended Board approval of the Open Air <br />Stand License to permit the sale of hot chocolate. It was <br />noted that an inspection by the Health Department would be <br />conducted that morning to make certain all applicable health <br />rules and regulations regarding the handling of food were <br />being followed. The required Certificate of Insurance <br />needed to conduct this activity on city property was also <br />submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the request was approved, <br />FILE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS <br />A list containing 39 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of <br />the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was submitted. It <br />was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up <br />the lots and had failed to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried., the <br />environmental list was filed. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the following handicapped parking permits were <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for <br />issuance: <br />Lera M. Beebe, 1347 Mishawaka, S.B. <br />Evadna Kruszewski, 406 E. Eckman, S.B. <br />Ernest E. Scott, 57349 Chamberlain, <br />Olive LeCount, 811 E. Dubail, S.B. <br />Devon Garrett, 2046 Berkley, S.B. <br />The application for Ivel Palmiter, 2703 Corby, South Bend, <br />Indiana, for a handicapped permit for a golf cart was referred <br />to the Legal Department for review of the ordinance to <br />determine if the permit could be issued for use of such a <br />vehicle. <br />
