REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 1, 1982 <br />31 <br />G <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BOND <br />Following a review of the request to cancel the Contractor's <br />Bond of Avenue Construction Company and the Excavation Bond <br />of Seago Remodeling, Mr. Ray S. An:drysiak recommended release <br />of the above bonds. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above bonds were released. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan <br />and carried, the following handicapped parking permits were <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for <br />issuance: <br />David Levy, 1932 Churchill, S.B. <br />Dorothy & Clifford Bourn, 4010 Bonfield, S.B. <br />Almeda Knaus, 1511 Liberty, #14, Mishawaka <br />Peggy Lyzun, 1246 Sunnymede, S.B. <br />FILE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEA14-UP OF LOTS <br />A list containing 61 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of <br />the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was submitted. It <br />was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up <br />the lots and had failed to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the <br />environmental list was filed. <br />FILING OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report indicated a total of 25 outages for the period of <br />October 12 through 25, 1112. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report <br />was filed. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA <br />Consortium, submitted purchase orders totalling 27 to be paid <br />out of FY 1982 funds, and purchase orders totalling 40 to be <br />paid out of FY 1983 funds, and recommended approval. Chief <br />Deputy Controller Sherrie L. Petz submitted Claim Docket No. <br />20830 through 21277 and recommended approval. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, <br />the above claims were approved and the reports filed. <br />COMPLAINT CONCERNING RAILROAD CROSSING (OLIVE & WASHINGTON) <br />Councilman Walter Szymkowiak complained about the length of <br />time being taken by the railroad on improving the crossings <br />at Olive and Washington Streets. Mr. Leszczynski advised <br />Councilman Szynikowiak that the needed improvements should <br />have taken only about one month to complete, and he stated <br />that he would follow-up on the matter. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the meeting was adjourned at 10:30 a.m. <br />n E.
