REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 1, 1982 31 G APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BOND Following a review of the request to cancel the Contractor's Bond of Avenue Construction Company and the Excavation Bond of Seago Remodeling, Mr. Ray S. An:drysiak recommended release of the above bonds. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above bonds were released. APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the following handicapped parking permits were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance: David Levy, 1932 Churchill, S.B. Dorothy & Clifford Bourn, 4010 Bonfield, S.B. Almeda Knaus, 1511 Liberty, #14, Mishawaka Peggy Lyzun, 1246 Sunnymede, S.B. FILE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEA14-UP OF LOTS A list containing 61 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was submitted. It was noted that property owners had been advised to clean up the lots and had failed to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the environmental list was filed. FILING OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT The report indicated a total of 25 outages for the period of October 12 through 25, 1112. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was filed. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA Consortium, submitted purchase orders totalling 27 to be paid out of FY 1982 funds, and purchase orders totalling 40 to be paid out of FY 1983 funds, and recommended approval. Chief Deputy Controller Sherrie L. Petz submitted Claim Docket No. 20830 through 21277 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the above claims were approved and the reports filed. COMPLAINT CONCERNING RAILROAD CROSSING (OLIVE & WASHINGTON) Councilman Walter Szymkowiak complained about the length of time being taken by the railroad on improving the crossings at Olive and Washington Streets. Mr. Leszczynski advised Councilman Szynikowiak that the needed improvements should have taken only about one month to complete, and he stated that he would follow-up on the matter. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 10:30 a.m. n E.
