G <br />REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 1, 1982 <br />APPROVE AGREEMENTS WITH CONSOLIDATED RAIL CORPORATION (LINCOLNWAY <br />WEST GRADE CROSSING AND EWING AVENUE CROSSING) <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that two agreements were being submitted <br />to the Board for approval with Consolidated Pail Corporation for <br />the installation of rubberized grade crossings at Lincolnway <br />West (U.S. 20) and Ewing Avenue. In accordance with terms of the <br />agreements, the federal government would pay 90% of the cost of <br />the projects, with the city paying 10%. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />agreements were approved. <br />APPROVE ADDENDUM NO. II TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />CONTRACT (BUREAU OF HOUSING) <br />Addendum No. II to the previously approved Community Development <br />contract with the Bureau of Housing for its housing rehabilitation <br />program provided for an increase of $4,262.72 to cover clean-up <br />costs in rehabilitation services, bringing the revised contract <br />amount to $266,988.72. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, Addendum No. II was approved. <br />HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR 1983 CONTINUED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the proposed holiday schedule for 1983 was continued to <br />the next meeting of the Board <br />APPROVE.SOLICITATION OF PROPOSALS FOR PIGEON CONTROL <br />ON RIVER BEND PLAZA AND WESTERN AVENUE VIADUCT <br />The Clerk informed the Board that the city's present contract <br />with Franklin Pest Control for pigeon control on River Bend <br />Plaza and the Western Avenue Viaduct expired on December 31st. <br />It was noted that Franklin's current contract for the Plaza <br />and Viaduct for the 1982 calendar year was $850.00. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to solicit proposals for <br />the above service for the year 1983. <br />APPROVE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Ms. Katherine Barnard, Director of the Neighborhood Code Enforce- <br />ment Office requested permission to advertise for the sale of <br />approximately 17 abandoned vehicles, 14 of which were valued at <br />over $100.00, and all of which were being stored at the Hurwich <br />Impoundment Lot, 1610 Circle Avenue. It was noted that all <br />vehicles had been stored more than the required 30 days, <br />identification checks had been run for auto theft, and the <br />owners and lienholders notified. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the request <br />was approved and a date of November 15, 1982, established for <br />the receipt of sealed bids. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting, recommended approval of the following traffic control <br />device: <br />INSTALL TEMPORARY "NO PARKING" - County -City Building <br />and various locations as determined by this bureau. <br />November 2nd only. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the above traffic control device was approved. <br />
