REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 1, 1982 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened <br />at 9:30 a.m., on Monday, November 1, 1982, by President John <br />E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. Richard L. Hill <br />and Mr. Joseph E. Kernan present. Also present was Deputy <br />City Attorney Robert Rosenfeld. <br />AGENDA ITEMS ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the following items were added to the agenda <br />following the recommendatiots to award various bids: <br />1. Purchase Order to Indiana & Michigan Electric <br />Company in the amount of $755,000.00 for <br />relocation of power line on New Energy <br />property; and <br />2. Proposal to include computer study for City <br />Clerk's Office and CETA Consortium by Crowe <br />Chizek & Company. <br />MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING APPROVED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the minutes of the October 18, 1982, regular <br />meeting of the Board were approved as submitted. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the minutes of the October 25, 1982, regular meeting <br />of the Board were approved as submitted. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES <br />This was the date set for receiving sealed bids for the sale <br />of the following city -owned properties: <br />621 Rush Street <br />401 E. South <br />1608 Prairie <br />634 Keasey <br />1237 Van Buren <br />Triangular lot bounded by Chapin, Oak <br />and Scott Streets <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the <br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found <br />to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly <br />read: <br />621 Push Street NO BIDS RECEIVED <br />City's Offering Price: $390.00 <br />401 E. South <br />John Webber <br />City's Offering Price: $220.00 <br />114 E. Stanley St. <br />Mishawaka, Indiana 46544 <br />BID PRICE: $300.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the bid of Mr. Webber in the amount of $300.00 <br />was accepted for the city -owned property <br />at 401 E.
