22 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 25, 1982 <br />Smith: the existing vendors' installation have some permancy; <br />all signs are located on the units themselves; and the vendors <br />sell snack -type items as opposed to general merchandise. The <br />Redevelopment Department discouraged the sale of any promotional <br />merchandise of this type because it was felt such sales could <br />lend to "hawking" which would not be a desirable atmosphere to <br />create on the Plaza. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski <br />seconded by Mr. Kernan- nd carried, the license application was <br />denied based upon the above recommendation. <br />FILE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS <br />A list containing 84 lots ordered cleaned by the Director of the <br />Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office was submitted. It was noted <br />that property owners had been advised to clean up the lots and <br />had failed to do so. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Kernan and carried, the environmental list was filed. <br />APPROVE CONTP.ACTOR'S BOND - EUGENE TURNER <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., recommended Board approval of the <br />Contractor's Bond of Eugene Turner retroactive to October 18, 1982. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the above Contractor's Bond was approved. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the following handicapped parking permits were approved - <br />and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance: <br />George M. Verhaeghe, 3223 Rue Voltaire, Apt. 913 <br />Charles W. Emery, 1648 E. Fox, S.B. <br />James Ulis, 53308 Portage, S.B. <br />Mark R. Brumbaugh, 19553 Darden, S.B. <br />Claude C. Paree, 1009 21st, S.B. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Director of the Michiana Area CETA Con- <br />sortium,.submitted purchase orders totalling 17 to be paid out of <br />FY 1982, and purchase orders totalling 21 to be paid out of FY 1983 <br />funds, and recommended approval. Chief Deputy Controller Sherrie <br />L. Petz submitted Claim Docket No. 20103 through No. 20829 and recom- <br />mended approval.
