HM REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 17, 1984 Police Department investigation has shown that Mr. Hess has not told the truth reference answering the question "have you ever been convicted of a misdemeanor." Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, Mr. Vance's recommendation to deny the license was approved. Mr. Vance abstained from voting. It was noted that Mr. Hess will be notified of the denial and given the opportunity to request a public hearing on this matter if desired. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following secondhand dealers license application has been received: NAME: D & M USED CLOTHES AND FURNITURE BY: Mable Karn ADDRESS: 814 West Indiana Avenue FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Used clothes and furniture Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department on the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of a permit. APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the following two (2) handicapped parking permit applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of permits: Leo Golubski, 56066 Quince Rd., S.B. Frank MacDonald, 528 S. 35th St., S.B. APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the Contractor's Bond for C.E. Stafford Construction, Inc. be approved effective December 17, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Contractor's Bond was approved. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a total of forty-two (42) properties cleaned from December 10, 1984 to December 14, 1984 was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report as submitted was filed. APPROVE CLAIMS Ms. Jane Cleaver, Executive Director, St. Joseph County Job Training Program submitted two (2) lists containing fifty-nine (59) claims and recommended approval. Additionally, City Controller Michael L. Vance submitted Claim Docket No. 24552 through Claim Docket No. 25237 and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the claims were approved and the reports as submitted were filed.
