REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 10, 1984 451 Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above bids were referred to the Fire Department for review and recommendation. PUBLIC HEARING - FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL NO. 2992 - LANDMARK PARK (BRICK -ROAD CURBS AND STREETS) This was the date set for the public hearing for the purpose of hearing and considering all remonstrances as to the amounts assessed on Final Assessment Roll No. 2992 for the above referred to project as authorized under Improvement Resolution No. 3521-84 adopted by the Board on February 17, 1984. The Clerk tendered proof of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. It was noted that Final Assessment Roll No. 2992 was filed with the Board on November 26, 1984. It was further noted that the total cost of the Improvement as stated on the Final Assessment Roll is $147,507.55 with the sole property owner, Northern Indiana Development Partnership, being assessed $28,000.00, $77,998.45 to be paid from a Project Future Grant, $41,498.02 to be paid by the developer with the City paying no part of this project. There being no one present wishing to speak against the amounts assessed, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the public hearing on this matter was closed. Further, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, Final Assessment Roll No. 2992 was approved and referred to the County Treasurer's Office and the Barrett Law Office for final processing. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 26-1984 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE VEHICLE (POLICE DEPARTMENT) In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Charles T. Hurley, advised that damages recently incurred to Mechanical #725 of the Police Department vehicle fleet exceeds the value of the unit. He advised that this vehicle should be removed from the vehicle inventory. The Department will keep the unit for the purpose of salvageable parts. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following Resolution No. 26-1984 was adopted: RESOLUTION NO. 26, 1984 WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that the following Police Department vehicle is obsolete and deteriorated to the point where repair costs would exceed its value: Police Department - 1981 Chrysler LeBaron (#725) Serial No. 2C3BM46F2BR152634 WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6 permits the disposal of personal property no longer needed or obsolete. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend that the vehicle listed above is obsolete and not needed by the City of South Bend. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance be authorized to dispose of said vehicle and to remove same from the City Vehicle Inventory. Adopted: December 10, 1984.
