333 REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 20. 1984 1510 SOUTH ST. JOSEPH STREET Mr. Leszczynski advised that one (1) bid has been received from Fidencio Bueno, 210 East Haney Street, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $50.00. It was noted that the property has an appraisal value of $160.00. In light of the costs incurred by the City in pre- paring this property for sale, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the offer of $50.00 for this property was rejected and the Clerk of the Board was instructed to contact Fidencio Bueno and make a counter offer of $80.00 (one-half of the appraised value) for the property. 520 1/2 NORTH CUSHING STREET Mr. Leszczynski advised that one (1) bid has been received from Ms. Maria Rivera, 514 North Cushing Street, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $100.00. It was noted that the property has an appraisal value of $100.00 Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the offer of $100.00 for the property was accepted and the matter referred to the City Attorney's office for the drafting of the appropriate Purchase Agreement. 423 SOUTH HARRIS Mr. Leszczynski advised that no bids have been received for the purchase of this property. 615 NORTH FRANCES STREET Mr. Leszczynski..advised that one (1) bid has been received from Ms. Shirley Myers, 617 North Frances Street, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $65.00. It was noted that the property has an appraisal value of $320.00. In light of costs incurred by the City in preparing this property for sale, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the offer of $65.00 for this property was rejected and the Clerk of the Board was instructed to contact Ms. Myers and make a counteroffer of $160.00 (one- half of the appraised value) forthe property. ACCEPT NOTICE AND APPROVE TERMINATION OF LEASE BETWEEN DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT AND CITY FOR DISPOSITION PARCEL 2-6C, 2-17 (SONNEBORN LOT) IN THE CENTRAL DOWNTOWN RENEWAL PROJECT AREA IND. R-66 In a letter to the Board, Mr. Jon R. Hunt, Executive Director, Department of Redevelopment, notified the Board that the Depart- ment of Redevelopment is terminating the lease between the Department of Redevelopment and the Board, entered into on January 24, 1983, for the property described as Disposition Parcel 2-6C, 2-17 (Sonneborn Lot) in the Central Downtown Renewal Project Area Ind. R-66. This letter will serve as an official Notice that the Redevelopment Department is terminating the above mentioned Lease and is giving the Board of Public Works thirty (30) days notice to vacate the property. The Redevelop= ment Department requires possession of the property by September 14, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Notification of Termination of Lease was accepted and approved.
