JOSEPH STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that one (1) bid has been <br />received from Fidencio Bueno, 210 East Haney Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $50.00. It <br />was noted that the property has an appraisal value <br />of $160.00. <br />In light of the costs incurred by the City in pre- <br />paring this property for sale, upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the offer of $50.00 for this property was rejected <br />and the Clerk of the Board was instructed to contact <br />Fidencio Bueno and make a counter offer of $80.00 <br />(one-half of the appraised value) for the property. <br />520 1/2 NORTH CUSHING STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that one (1) bid has been <br />received from Ms. Maria Rivera, 514 North Cushing <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of <br />$100.00. It was noted that the property has an <br />appraisal value of $100.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. <br />Leszczynski and carried, the offer of $100.00 for <br />the property was accepted and the matter referred <br />to the City Attorney's office for the drafting of <br />the appropriate Purchase Agreement. <br />423 SOUTH HARRIS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that no bids have been <br />received for the purchase of this property. <br />615 NORTH FRANCES STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski..advised that one (1) bid has been <br />received from Ms. Shirley Myers, 617 North Frances <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of <br />$65.00. It was noted that the property has an <br />appraisal value of $320.00. <br />In light of costs incurred by the City in preparing <br />this property for sale, upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the <br />offer of $65.00 for this property was rejected and <br />the Clerk of the Board was instructed to contact <br />Ms. Myers and make a counteroffer of $160.00 (one- <br />half of the appraised value) forthe property. <br />ACCEPT NOTICE AND APPROVE TERMINATION OF LEASE BETWEEN DEPARTMENT <br />OF REDEVELOPMENT AND CITY FOR DISPOSITION PARCEL 2-6C, 2-17 <br />(SONNEBORN LOT) IN THE CENTRAL DOWNTOWN RENEWAL PROJECT <br />AREA IND. R-66 <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Jon R. Hunt, Executive Director, <br />Department of Redevelopment, notified the Board that the Depart- <br />ment of Redevelopment is terminating the lease between the <br />Department of Redevelopment and the Board, entered into on <br />January 24, 1983, for the property described as Disposition <br />Parcel 2-6C, 2-17 (Sonneborn Lot) in the Central Downtown <br />Renewal Project Area Ind. R-66. This letter will serve as an <br />official Notice that the Redevelopment Department is terminating <br />the above mentioned Lease and is giving the Board of Public Works <br />thirty (30) days notice to vacate the property. The Redevelop= <br />ment Department requires possession of the property by September <br />14, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the above Notification of Termination of Lease <br />was accepted and approved. <br />
