1 339 <br />1 <br />1 <br />REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 20,. 1984 <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Executive Director, St. Joseph County <br />Job Training Program submitted two (2) lists containing thirty- <br />six (36) JTP claims and one (1) list containing seven (7) claims <br />from the Michigna Area CETA Consortium and recommended approval. <br />Additionally, City Controller Michael L. Vance submitted Claim <br />Docket No. 15477 through Claim Docket No. 16055 and recommended <br />approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Mr. Hill <br />and carried, the claims were approved and the reports filed. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />REQUEST BY COMPUTER SPECIALISTS FOR STATUS REPORT ON RECENT <br />INQUIRY CONCERNING AWARD OF BID TO COMPUTERLAND AND <br />EVALUATION OF COMPUTER SPECIALISTS BID <br />Mr. Bruno Eidietis, President, Computer Specialists, Division of <br />Audio Specialists, 401 North Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />was present at the meeting and addressed the Board. <br />Mr. Eidietis inquired as to the status of the protest submitted by <br />Computer Specialists on August 3, 1984 to the Board and referred <br />to Crowe Chizek and Company for further evaluation and requested <br />an answer to what communication has taken place regarding this <br />matter. <br />Mr. Vance advised that he has spoken to Crowe Chizek and Company <br />on an informal basis but he has no formal answer at this time. <br />He advised that one of the key personnel at Crowe Chizek has <br />been on vacation and Crowe Chizek desires that that person <br />review the matter before a response is submitted. Mr. Vance <br />further advised that it is his understanding that that person <br />has returned from vacation this date and he presumes the City <br />should hear from Crowe Chizek shortly. In response to Mr. <br />Eidietis' question of whether or not the City has proceeded any <br />further with the implementation of the computer bid awarded to <br />Computerland, Mr. Vance advised that the matter has not proceeded <br />any further. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the meeting adjourned at 10:13 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />gic ar L. 4111 <br />Michael-L.
