1328 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 13. 19'84 <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - JULY <br />The Humane Society report for the month of July indicated the <br />following matters handled for the City.of South Bend: <br />DOGS HANDLED: 223 <br />CATS HANDLED 239 <br />OTHER ANIMALS HANDLED: 81 <br />BITE CASES HANDLED 16 <br />COMPLAINTS.HANDLED: 215 <br />Upon a..motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above report as submitted was accepted and filed. <br />FILING OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report submitted to the Board indicated a total of sixty-eight <br />(68) outages for the period July 20, 1984 to August 9, 1984. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, <br />the report as submitted was filed. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Elroy J. Kelzenberg, Executive Director, St. Joseph County Job <br />Training Program, submitted two (2) lists containing a total of <br />forty-three (43) claims and recommended approval. City Controller <br />Michael L. Vance, submitted Claim Docket No. 14670 through No. 15476 <br />and recommended approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, seconded <br />by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the claims were approved and the <br />reports filed. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />CONCERNS OF COMPUTER SPECIALISTS REGARDING AWARD OF BID TO <br />COMPUTERLAND FOR COMPUTERS FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />AND EVALUATION OF COMPUTER SPECIALISTS BID <br />Mr. Bruno Eidietis, President, Computer Specialists, Division of <br />Audio Specialists, 401 North Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />was present at the meeting and addressed the Board. <br />Mr. Eidietis inquired as to the status of a reply to his letter to <br />the Board of August 3, 1984, asking for an impartial review of <br />Crowe Chizek's evaluation of the Computer Specialists bid, Mr. <br />Vance advised that the August 3rd letter was referred to Crowe <br />Chizek for review and comment and a response is expected in the <br />very near future. <br />Mr. Eidietis further inquired as to the status of the award of the <br />bid to Computerland and asked if a contract had already been signed, <br />He was advised by Mr. Vance and Board Attorney Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer <br />that the bid was awarded to Computerland but a contract has. not yet <br />been signed. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, <br />the meeting adjourned at 9:52 a.m. <br />J n esz i <br />ATTE T: Mic ael L.
