Box 540 $11.95 per ton <br />Portage, Indiana 46368 <br />Mr. Penn further advised that it is his understanding that the <br />Indiana State Highway Department will receive bids for de-icing <br />materials on August 13, 1984, and depending on their award, the <br />City will exercise.its purchase per Paragraph 14 under SPECIFICATIONS, <br />SODIUM CHLORIDE as.follows: <br />14. City of South Bend reserves the right to consider <br />as a bid the effective State of Indiana quantity <br />purchase award price for the State Highway District <br />(LaPorte) for South Bend. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, Mr. Penn's recommendations -were accepted and the above <br />bids awarded. <br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT AND ADDENDUM <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following Community Development Contract and Addendum <br />submitted to the Board were approved and executed: <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />SPECIAL PUBLIC WORKS ACTIVITY <br />The targeted goals for this activity are: <br />1. Conversion of Washington Street from a one-way thoroughfare <br />to a two-way. The two-way conversion will take place from <br />St. Joseph Street on the east and continue to and include <br />William Street on the west. <br />2. Replacement and repair of curbs and sidewalks on 'Chapin <br />Street, which is located in the Community Development <br />Neighborhood Revitalization Area. <br />The total cost of the Activity shall not exceed $36,416.00. <br />ADDENDUM II <br />SOUTH BEND HERITAGE FOUNDATION <br />SOUTH BEND HERITAGE HOUSING PROGRAMS <br />Addendum II indicates that Appendix I further clarifies budget <br />categories and that the total paid by the City under this <br />Agreement shall not exceed $210,096.00. Further, in the cost <br />categories item it was indicated that the current text shall <br />remain the same with the addition of the following language: <br />"Eligible cost categories for Revolving Loan Funds are: <br />loans for housing rehabilitation in accordance with the <br />revolving loan fund guidelines attached as Appendix IV'.'. <br />APPROVE COST REIMBURSABLE AGREEMENT NO. 84A-710 - ST. JOSEPH <br />COUNTY JOB TRAINING PROGRAM - SERVICES OF DEPUTY CITY ATTORNEY <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the above referred to Agreement was <br />being submitted to the Board for approval. The Agreement <br />indicates that the St. Joseph County Job Training Program shall <br />retain the services of a Deputy City Attorney for advice and <br />assistance on legal matters relating to the conduct of the <br />JTP Program. The Agreement period is August 1, 1984 to June <br />30, 1985 and the total budget amount is $3,300-00. Mr. Hill <br />El <br />
