:462 REGULAR MEETING JULY 16, 1984 ADDENDUM III DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS MONROE PARK INDUSTRIAL PARK IMPROVEMENTS Addendum III indicates that the Timetable category shall be revised and states that the Activity shall commence on August 1, 1983"and continue to and include October 31, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr.. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above Addenda were approved and executed. APPROVE BUREAU OF HOUSING NEIGHBORHOOD PAINT -UP PROGRAM AGREEMENTS Ms. Janet S. Holston, Director, Bureau of Housing, submitted to the Board for approval three (3) Agreements for Rehabilitation of Real Property between the Board of Public Works and Homeowner and Agreements for the Repair of Real Property between the Board of Public Works and Contractor as follows: HOMEOWNER: Joyce/Nevada Stites ADDRESS: 501 South Koscuiszko CONTRACTOR: B & C Construction Company CONTRACT AMOUNT: $461.94 HOMEOWNER: Ida M. Evans ADDRESS: 1624 South Warren CONTRACTOR: Campbell Electric Company, Inc. CONTRACT AMOUNT: $800.00 HOMEOWNER: Bernice Jenkins ADDRESS: 1918 South Walnut CONTRACTOR: Hanks Enterprize CONTRACT AMOUNT: $490.00 Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Agreements were approved and executed. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SOUTH BEND AVENUE (NHS) PROJECT In a letter to the Board, Mr. Neil A. Shanahan, Manager, Bureau of Public Construction, requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was approved. REQUEST OF WILLIAM PENN ASSOCIATION TO CLOSE ALLEY FOR ANNUAL PICNIC (JULY 28. 1984) REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Mr. Frank J. Wukovits, Sr., President, Branch 132, William Penn Association, 1024 West Indiana Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, requested that the alley surrounding the building at 1024 West Indiana Avenue be closed off to traffic in conjunction with the Lodge's Annual Picnic to be held on Saturday, July 28, 1984 beginning at 12:00 noon. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation_. REQUEST OF GRACE A.M.E. ZION CHURCH TO CLOSE A PORTION OF VASSAR STREET FOR PARISH PIG ROAST (JULY 28, 1984) REFERRED In a letter to the Board, Rev. W.M. Cunningham, Pastor, Mrs. Eugenia Braboy, Treasurer of the Board and Mrs. Ruby Robertson, Secretary, Grace A.M.E. Zion Church, 1211 Vassar Street, South Bend, Indiana, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, requested that the one-half block of Vassar Street between Blaine and Cleveland be closed on Saturday, July 28, 1984 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. for the parish pig roast and fun fair. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation.
