Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance <br />and carried, the above Addenda were approved and executed. <br />APPROVE BUREAU OF HOUSING NEIGHBORHOOD PAINT -UP PROGRAM AGREEMENTS <br />Ms. Janet S. Evans <br />ADDRESS: 1624 South Warren <br />CONTRACTOR: Campbell Electric Company, Inc. <br />CONTRACT AMOUNT: $800.00 <br />HOMEOWNER: Bernice Jenkins <br />ADDRESS: 1918 South Walnut <br />CONTRACTOR: Hanks Enterprize <br />CONTRACT AMOUNT: $490.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above Agreements were approved and executed. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - <br />SOUTH BEND AVENUE (NHS) PROJECT <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Neil A. Shanahan, Manager, Bureau <br />of Public Construction, requested that the Board advertise for <br />the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the above request was approved. <br />REQUEST OF WILLIAM PENN ASSOCIATION TO CLOSE ALLEY <br />FOR ANNUAL PICNIC (JULY 28. 1984) REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Frank J. Wukovits, Sr., President, <br />Branch 132, William Penn Association, 1024 West Indiana Avenue, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested that the alley surrounding the <br />building at 1024 West Indiana Avenue be closed off to traffic <br />in conjunction with the Lodge's Annual Picnic to be held on <br />Saturday, July 28, 1984 beginning at 12:00 noon. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation_. <br />REQUEST OF GRACE A.M.E. ZION CHURCH TO CLOSE A PORTION OF <br />VASSAR STREET FOR PARISH PIG ROAST (JULY 28, 1984) REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Rev. W.M. Cunningham, Pastor, Mrs. <br />Eugenia Braboy, Treasurer of the Board and Mrs. Ruby Robertson, <br />Secretary, Grace A.M.E. Zion Church, 1211 Vassar Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, requested <br />that the one-half block of Vassar Street between Blaine and <br />Cleveland be closed on Saturday, July 28, 1984 from 10:00 a.m. <br />until 8:00 p.m. for the parish pig roast and fun fair. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for <br />review and recommendation. <br />
