Independent Cab Company <br />1134 Harvey Street, South Bend, IN <br />$2.00 flag drop <br />.70 per mile (in town) <br />1.00 per mile (out of town) Paid cash in advance <br />Additional flat rate charge from the Airport, <br />AMTRAK, or South Shore to Notre Dame. <br />$6.00 for one or husband and wife, son or daughter.. <br />$5.00 for two going to Notre Dame area. <br />$4.00 each for three or five going to same area. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above information as submitted was accepted for filing. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of one -hundred -nine (109) properties cleaned from July 9, <br />1984 to July 13, 1984 was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was <br />filed. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - <br />SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES ' <br />Ms. Katherine Barnard, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, <br />requested permission to advertise for the sale of approximately <br />seventeen (17) abandoned vehicles, seven(7) of which are valued <br />at over One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and all of which are <br />being stored at South Bend Auto Parts, 1802 South Main Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana. It was noted that all vehicles have been <br />stored more than the thirty (30) days, identification checks <br />had been run for auto theft, and the owners and lienholders <br />notified. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Vance and carried, the request was approved and a date <br />of July 30, 1984 was established for the receiving of sealed <br />bids. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance <br />and carried, the Certificate of Insurance for Ritschard Bros., <br />Inc. & Carmelo, Donald & Fred Ritschard, 1204 West Sample <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana was accepted and filed. <br />FILING.OF STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT <br />The report submitted to the Board indicated a total of thirty- <br />three (33) outages for the period June 14, 1984 to June 29, <br />1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the report as submitted was filed. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - JUNE <br />The Humane Society Report for the month of June indicated the <br />following matters handled for the City of South Bend: <br />DOGS HANDLED: 238 <br />CATS HANDLED: 224 <br />OTHER ANIMALS HANDLED: 157 <br />BITE CASES HANDLED: 17 <br />COMPLAINTS INVESTIGATED: 181 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above report was accepted and filed. <br />1 <br />
