REGULAR MEETING JULY 2, 1984 <br />271 <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF LA-Z-BOY SHOWCASE SHOPPE <br />TO CONDUCT TENT SALE <br />Mr. Thomas M. Walz, 328 J.M.S. Building, South Bend, Indiana, <br />addressed the Board on behalf of the La-Z-Boy Showcase Shoppe, <br />211 West LaSalle Avenue, and requested permission to conduct <br />a tent sale beginning on Thursday, July 5, 1984 for two -weeks <br />in the parking lot of the store located on the corner of Main <br />and LaSalle Streets in South Bend. Mr. Walz advised that the <br />space in the parking lot will accomodate both the tent and <br />adequate parking. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above request was <br />approved subject to La-Z-Boy complying with all Fire Department <br />Prevention Bureau requirements, providing a Certificate of <br />Flame Retardancy, securing a permit for the erection of the <br />tent from the Building Department and filing with the Board <br />a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 <br />naming .the City of South Bend as an additional insured for <br />the duration of the tent sale. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the meeting was adjourned at 9:55 a.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />Sandra M.
