263 <br />MEETING RECONVENED <br />JUNE 25. 1984 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the June 25, 1984 regular meeting of the Board was <br />reconvened at 9:55 a.m. <br />Ms. Eugenia S. Schwartz, Assistant City Attorney, advised <br />the Board that the details on the purchase of the Torrington <br />building and related matters will be finalized this date and <br />requested that the Board recess until 4:00 p.m. at which <br />time the necessary documents will be presented to the Board <br />for approval and execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, <br />seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, this reconvened meeting <br />of the Board was recessed until 4:00 p.m. <br />-- ��.�/� <br />-- <br />Michael L. Parmerlee, Clerk <br />RECONVENE RECESSED REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE '25 , 1984 <br />The recessed regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was <br />reconvened at 4:45 p.m. by President John E. Leszczynski, with <br />Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. Richard L. Hill and Mr. Michael L. Vance <br />present. Also present was Assistant City Attorney Carolyn V. <br />Pfotenhauer. The purpose of this reconvened meeting was to <br />discuss the purchase of The Torrington Building and other <br />related matters. <br />APPROVE AUTHORIZATION OF CLAIM FORM TO PURCHASE <br />TORRINGTON BUILDING AND WARRANTY BILL OF SALE <br />Mr. Hill presented to the Board for approval a City of South <br />Bend Claim Form in the amount of $400,000.00 made payable to <br />The Torrington Company for the purchase of a.building per the <br />Warranty Bill of Sale also submitted. The Warranty Bill of <br />Sale indicates that The Torrington Company for and in considera- <br />tion of $400,000.00 conveys to the City of South Bend the build- <br />ing and all improvements (commonly referred to as the "East <br />Building") located on the real estate situated at and commonly <br />known as 3602 West Sample Street, South Bend, Indiana. Mr. <br />Hill made a motion that the Board be authorized to purchase <br />the building and all improvements described in the Warranty <br />Bill of Sale and approve the delivery of a check in the amount <br />of $400,000.00 to The Torrington Company, Mr. Vance seconded <br />the motion and it carried, and the Claim Form and Warranty Bill <br />of Sale were approved and executed. <br />
