<br />PUBLIC HEARING AND RECOMMENDATION - HOUSE MOVE FROM
<br />530 EAST IRELAND ROAD TO 723 HA14BAKER STREET
<br />This was the date set for the public hearing on the matter of a
<br />house move from 530-East Irealnd Road to 723 Hawbaker Street.
<br />An application for a Moving Permit was received from Lykowski
<br />Construction Company, 21707 West Ireland Road, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, to move a two-story 74'x32'x34' (loaded) house owned
<br />by LeSEA, Inc., 530 East Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana.
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Paul L. Roelke, Building
<br />Commissioner, indicated that in addition to the application
<br />being provided, a site plan, a letter from Lykowski Construction,
<br />Inc. submitting the route to be used and the recommendation of
<br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting,
<br />were being submitted for consideration. Mr. Wadzinski recommended
<br />approval of the following route:
<br />Enter Hawbaker Drive by way of rear of the
<br />present site at 530 East Ireland Road,
<br />thence, travel approximately 300' East
<br />on Hawbaker to Lot #2, thence, exit
<br />the roadway.
<br />It was noted that Lykowski Construction Company has on file with
<br />the Board of Public Works a Certificate of Insurance in the amount
<br />of $1,000,000.00. There being no one present wishing to speak for
<br />or against the move, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski,
<br />seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the public hearing on this matter
<br />was closed and the moving permit application of Lykowski Con-
<br />struction Company was approved.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING AND RECOMMENDATION - HOUSE MOVE FROM 432 NORTH
<br />LAFAYETTE.BOULEVARD TO 1010 WEST WASHINGTON STREET.
<br />This was the date set for the public hearing on the matter of a
<br />house move from 432 North Lafayette Boulevard to 1010 West
<br />Washington Street. An application for a Moving Permit was received
<br />from Lykowski Construction Company, 21707 West Ireland Road, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, to move a two-story 55'x26'6x33' (loaded) house
<br />owned by South Bend Heritage Foundation. In a memorandum to the
<br />Board, Mr. Paul L. Roelke, Building Commissioner, indicated that
<br />in addition to the application being provided, a site plan, a
<br />letter from Lykowski Construction, Inc. submitting the route to
<br />be used and the recommendation of Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager,
<br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, were being.submitted for considera-
<br />tion. Mr. Wadzinski recommended approval of the following route:
<br />Lafayette to LaSalle, LaSalle to Williams,
<br />Williams to 1010 West Washington.
