REGULAR MEETING JUNE 4, 1984 <br />FILING OF PETITION BY HERITAGE CABLEVISION <br />FOR MAXIMUM RATE INCREASE <br />Mr. Thomas J. Brunner, Attorney at Law, 120 West LaSalle Avenue, <br />South Bend, Indiana, on behalf of Heritage Cablevision, 16830 <br />Edison Road, Mishawaka, Indiana, addressed the Board regarding <br />the above referred to Petition which he submitted. Mr. Brunner <br />advised that Heritage Cablevision is requesting that the charge <br />for basic cablevision service be increased by 6.4% from $10.95 <br />per month to $11.65 per month effective September 1, 1984. Mr. <br />Brunner stated that this increase is necessitated by the dramatic <br />increase in program costs experienced by Heritage Cablevision in <br />the last year. He indicated that should the Board require a <br />profit and loss: -statement or any other documentation, he would <br />provide it. Mr. Hill stated that the Board would like to <br />review this Petition prior to setting the matter for public <br />hearing and would advise Mr. Brunner if any supplemental <br />documentation will be required. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, <br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Petition by <br />Heritage Cablevision for Maximum Rate Increase was accepted <br />and filed. <br />APPROVE BUREAU OF HOUSING NEIGHBORHOOD PAINT -UP PROGRAM AGREEMENTS <br />Ms. Janet S. Holston, Director, Bureau of Housing, submitted to <br />the Board for approval three (3) Agreements for the Rehabilitation <br />of Real Property between the Board of Public Works and Landlords <br />and one (1) Agreement for Rehabilitation of Real Property between <br />the Board of Public Works and Homeowner/Agreement for the Repair <br />of Real Property between the Board of Public Works and Contractor <br />as follows: <br />1. Landlord: Karl Schramm <br />Address: 505-101 West Washington <br />2. Landlord: Karl Schramm <br />Address: 110-110 1/2 North St. Louis <br />3. Landlord:. Karl Schramm <br />Address: 226 North Taylor <br />4. Homeowner: Sedocia Riddle <br />Address: 830 North St. Peter Street <br />Contractor: Campbell Electric <br />Contract Amount: $595.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above Agreements were approved and executed. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - <br />STREET <br />DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT (ONE SMALL GRADER AND ONE BACKHOE LOADER) <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Sean Watt, Director, <br />Division of <br />Transportation, requested that the Board advertise <br />for the <br />receipt of bids for the -following equipment: <br />One (1) Small Grader <br />One (1) Backhoe Loader <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above request was approved. <br />REQUEST OF KIWANIS CLUB TO CONDUCT ANNUAL NEWSPAPER <br />SALE (SEPTEMBER 15. 1984) REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Wayne Z. Woodworth, President, <br />Kiwanis Club of South Bend, 1800 American National Bank Building, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct the 48th <br />annual newspaper sale on September 15, 1984 from 11:30 a.m, to <br />
