REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 21, 1984 <br />1 <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET ON -SITE PAVING ETHANOL PLANT PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above <br />referred to project was being presented at this time for <br />execution.Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet <br />was approved and signed. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BONDS <br />Mr. Joseph Pluta, P.E., and Mr. Melvin B. Humphrey, Engineering <br />Department, recommended that the Contractor's Bond for Evelyn <br />M. Jordan,.d/b/a Jordan Construction be approved retroactive <br />to May 16, 1984 and the Contractor's Bond for Papczynski <br />Construction, Inc. be approved effective May 21, 1984. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the above recommendations were accepted and the Contractor's <br />Bonds approved. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Joseph J. Pluta, P.E., Engineering Department, recommended <br />that the Contractor's Bond for Papczynski Concrete Broker be <br />released effective May 21, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />recommendation was accepted and the Contractor's Bond released. <br />APPROVE EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that <br />the Excavation Bond for MFP, Inc. be approved effective May 21, <br />1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the above recommendation was accepted and the <br />Excavation Bond approved.. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF HILLTOP GOSPEL CHURCH TO CLOSE <br />STREET FOR HILLTOP SERVICES - JUNE 17. 1984 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the request of <br />Hilltop Gospel Church to close Washington Street submitted to <br />the Board on May 14, 1984 and recommends approval subject to <br />the street (including the alleys) being closed for the appointed <br />time only, being 5:00 to 8:00 a.m. It was noted that the <br />Petitioner will be responsible for the closing and reopening <br />of the street with barricades to be delivered to the location <br />on June 15, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above recommendation <br />was accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, one (1) handicapped parking permit application for <br />Sylvia Alexander, 20679 Madison Road, South Bend, Indiana, was <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance of a permit. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - SECONDHAND DEALERS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following two (2) secondhand <br />dealers license applications have been received: <br />NAME: Rids Room <br />BY: James A. and Rebecca A. Holbert <br />ADDRESS: 623 South Meade <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Children's clothing <br />
