Auto Parts <br />= Vehicle No. 2 <br />$41.50 <br />3 <br />37.75 <br />14 <br />76.75 <br />15 <br />36.50 <br />17 <br />17.00 <br />TOTAL: $209.50 <br />Charles Teske <br />- Vehicle No. 4 <br />$57.50 <br />GRAND <br />TOTAL: $618.50 <br />AWARD BIDS - VEHICLES <br />FOR VARIOUS CITY <br />DEPARTMENTS <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Sean Watt, Director, Division of <br />Transportation, indicated that he has reviewed the bids received <br />on May 14, 1984 for vehicles for various City Departments and <br />recommends the following awards be made: <br />Navarre Cadillac-Oldsmobile-GMC <br />Two (2) GMC-C1500 pick-up trucks $14,094.34 net with trades <br />Gates Chevrolet Corporation <br />One (1) Chevrolet S-10 pick-up truck $ 7,028.00 net with trade <br />Three (3) Chevrolet Cavalier four <br />door sedans $21,533.00 net with trade <br />Seven (7) Chevrolet Chevette <br />Scooter four door sedans $37,769.00 net with trade <br />Western International <br />One (1) International S Series <br />Travel Crew Cab Model 1654 $18,780.00 net with trade <br />Additionally, -Mr. Watt recommended that Gates Chevrolet Corporation <br />be requested to allow the City to extend a possible additional <br />award for automobiles for sixty (60) days from Monday, May 21, 1984. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above recommendation was accepted and the bids awarded. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND CLIFFORD <br />M. MAC MILLAN FOR SERVICES AS LABOR NEGOTIATOR FOR THE CITY <br />Mr. Leszczynski presented to the Board an Agreement between the <br />City of South .Bend and Clifford M. MacMillan as Consultant for <br />services as labor negotiator for the City of South Bend. The <br />Agreement indicates that Mr. MacMillan will serve as Chief <br />Negotiator for the City in the 1984 Police and Fire Wage <br />Negotiations and as co -negotiator in the 1984 Teamster wage <br />negotiations. The term of the Agreement is for three (3) months <br />from the date of execution and may be renewed thereafter from <br />month to month as is necessary to complete negotiations. For <br />his services, Mr. MacMillan will be paid two thousand dollars <br />($2,000.00) per month for services rendered, payable in monthly <br />increments. It was noted that Mr. MacMillan has over twenty-five <br />(25) years experience in personnel administration, having been <br />employed by the Studebaker Corporation and has assisted the City <br />in the past in teamster negotiations. Mr. Vance and Mr. Hill <br />advised that it was felt that the hiring of Mr. MacMillan would <br />be advantageous to the Common Council and the City in the negotia- <br />tion process. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mr. Hill and carried, the above referred to Agreement was approved <br />and executed. <br />
