REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 7 1984 <br />WHEREAS, the Central Downtown Urban Renewal Area, R-66, <br />has been declared blighted by the Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has acquired parcels of land <br />(Sites) in the Central Downtown Urban Renewal Area, R-66, <br />more fully described as: <br />All of Lots Thirty -One (31), Thirty -Two (32), <br />Thirty -Three (33) and Thirty -Four (34) of the <br />original plat of the Town (now City) of South <br />Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, except a strip <br />of land 21 feet in width east and west, taken off <br />of and from the entire east end of said lots, <br />together with all that part of a 14-foot alley <br />lying between said Lots Thirty -Three (33) and <br />Thirty -Four (34), more particularly described as <br />follows: <br />Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot Thirty - <br />One (31), thence North on and along the west <br />line of Lots Thirty -One (31), Thirty -Two (32), <br />Thirty -Three (33), and Thirty -Four (34), a <br />distance of 278.60 feet to the northwest corner <br />of lot Thirty -Four (34); thence East on and along <br />the north line of Lot Thirty -Four (34) a distance <br />of 144.73 feet to a point that is 21.0 feet west <br />of the northeast corner of said Lot 34; thence <br />South a distance of 278.51 feet to a point on the <br />south line of said Lot Thirty -One (31) that is <br />21.0 feet west of the southeast corner of Lot 31, <br />thence West on and along and south line of said <br />Lot Thirty -One (31) a distance of 144.68 feet <br />to the point of beginning. <br />(Site I) and <br />Lots Numbered.Thirty-Five (35) and Thirty-Six(36) <br />as shown on the recorded Original Plat of the Town, <br />now City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, <br />except a strip of land-21 feet in width East and <br />West, taken off of and from the entire East end of <br />said lots, more particularly described as follows: <br />Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 35, thence <br />North on and along the West line of Lots 35 and 36, <br />a distance of 132.45 feet to the Northwest corner <br />of Lot 36; thence East on and along the North line <br />of Lot 36.a distance of 144.73 feet to a point that. <br />is 21.0 feet West of the Northeast corner of said <br />Lot 36; thence South a distance of,132.45 feet to <br />a point.on the South line of said Lot 35, that is <br />21.0 feet West of the Southeast corner of Lot 35; <br />thence West on and along the South line of said <br />lot 35 a distance of 144.73 feet to the point of <br />beginning. <br />(Site II) <br />which have subsequently been sold to the South Bend Public <br />Transportation Corporation (TRANSPO) for its public transporta-. <br />lion center (Site I) and to Teachers Credit Union -(TCU) for its <br />main offices (Site II); and <br />WHEREAS, TRANSPO and TCU require access from a service <br />drive which shall run from East Jefferson Street, due East of <br />Suite I, then turning to run due South of Site II and due North <br />of Site II to exit onto South Main Street (Drive); and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission has agreed to sell twenty one feet <br />(2l') of the Drive to TRANSPO on condition that TRANSPO dedicate <br />11 <br />1 <br />
