REGULAR MEETING MAY 7, 1984 OPENING AND AWARD OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES This was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed bids for the sale of approximately.ten (10).abandoned vehicles, six (6) .of which are valued at Over One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) and all of which have been stored at. South Bend Auto Parts, 1802 South Main.Street, South Bend, Indiana.. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: ..S.B. Following that review, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the following bids were awarded: Steve & Gene's - none G & N - #7 $30.00 Hurwich #4 $30.00 S.B. Auto Parts - #1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 - $360.25 GRAND TOTAL: $420.25 OPENING AND AWARD OF BIDS - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES - 1506 & 1508 ORANGE STREET & 1519 LISTON STREET This was the date set for the receiving and opening of bids for the sale of City -owned property at 1506 & 1508 Orange Street and 1519 Liston Street. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following sealed bids were received: 1506 Orange Street Onebi rom Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 101 Adams Street, South Bend, Indiana in the amount of $260.00 1508 Orange Street One bid from Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 101 Adams Street, South Bend, Indiana in the amount of $240.00 1519 Liston Street One bid from Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 101 Adams Street, South Bend, Indiana in the amount: of $130.00 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the property at 1506 Orange Street was appraised at $520.00, the property at 1508 Orange Street appraised at $480.00 and the property at 1519 Liston appraised_` at $260.00 and it appears that the bids submitted by the Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church are for exactly one-half of the appraisal amount. Based on the fact that the church hopes to receive funding to build a senior citizen housing project on the above referred to property, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance,
