REGULAR <br />MEETING <br />MAY 7, 1984 <br />OPENING <br />AND AWARD OF BIDS <br />- SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />This was <br />the date set for <br />the receiving <br />and opening of <br />sealed <br />bids for <br />the sale of approximately.ten <br />(10).abandoned vehicles, <br />six (6) <br />.of which are valued at Over One <br />Hundred Dollars <br />($100.00) <br />and all of which <br />have been stored at. South Bend <br />Auto <br />Parts, 1802 <br />South Main.Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana.. The Clerk <br />tendered <br />proofs of publication <br />of Notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune <br />and the Tri-County <br />News which were found to be <br />sufficient. <br />The following <br />bids were opened and publicly read: <br />..S.B. Auto Parts - #1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 - $360.25 <br />GRAND TOTAL: $420.25 <br />OPENING AND AWARD OF BIDS - SALE OF CITY -OWNED <br />PROPERTIES - 1506 & 1508 ORANGE STREET & 1519 LISTON STREET <br />This was the date set for the receiving and opening of bids for <br />the sale of City -owned property at 1506 & 1508 Orange Street and <br />1519 Liston Street. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of <br />Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which <br />were found to be sufficient. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the <br />following sealed bids were received: <br />1506 Orange Street <br />Onebi rom Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, <br />101 Adams Street, South Bend, Indiana in the amount of $260.00 <br />1508 Orange Street <br />One bid from Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, <br />101 Adams Street, South Bend, Indiana in the amount of $240.00 <br />1519 Liston Street <br />One bid from Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, <br />101 Adams Street, South Bend, Indiana in the amount: of $130.00 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the property at 1506 Orange Street <br />was appraised at $520.00, the property at 1508 Orange Street <br />appraised at $480.00 and the property at 1519 Liston appraised_` <br />at $260.00 and it appears that the bids submitted by the Greater <br />St. John Missionary Baptist Church are for exactly one-half of <br />the appraisal amount. Based on the fact that the church hopes to <br />receive funding to build a senior citizen housing project on the <br />above referred to property, upon a motion made by Mr. Vance, <br />
