REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 23, 1984 <br />APPROVE CHANGE IN TRAFFIC_ PATTERN FOR ZOO FEST '84 - <br />JUNE 9 & 10 1.9.8.4.. . <br />In a memorandum to the `Board, Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, <br />Bureau of Traffic and 'Lighting, indicated that on June 9 & 10, <br />1984 Zoo Fest '84 will take place at Potawatomi Park Zoo. It <br />is Mr. Wadzinski's recommendation that for Zoo Fest, the park <br />drive going into the zoo area become a one-way inbound (eastbound) <br />traffic flow and Wall Street from. Greenlawn to the park drive west <br />of Ironwood become a one-way outbound (westbound). Additionally, <br />parking would be removed for 75 feet on all approaches to.all <br />intersections involved in the one-way pattern and the traffic <br />pattern would be manned.by various police or other traffic <br />controlling agencies. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill.and carried, the above recommendation was <br />accepted and approved. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS FOR INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager, <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, has reviewed the two (2) requests <br />for street lights submitted to the Board on March 12, 1984 and <br />recommends the following: <br />REQUEST #1 - FOR STREET LIGHT ON WASHINGTON BETWEEN <br />ELLSWORTH AND�CO U_ILLARD <br />The Bureau recommends t eh installation of a 7,000L <br />MV street light fixture at this location. <br />REQUEST #2'FOR STREET LIGHT AT 930 EAST SORIN STREET <br />The Bureau recommends that a 7,000L MV street light <br />fixture be installed at the mid -block located in the <br />vicinity of 930 East Sorin Street. <br />Upon a motion glade by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above recommendations were accepted and the requests <br />approved. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Melvin B. Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that <br />the Contractor's Bond for Lonnie Young be approved retroactive <br />to April 17, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above Contractor's Bond <br />was approved <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following five (5) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Edgewood at Joyce (Uncontrolled <br />"T" Intersection). <br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Inglewood at Lathrop (Uncontrolled <br />"T" Intersection).- <br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Eastbrook at Hollywood (Uncontrolled <br />"T" Intersection). <br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Lagoon Court at Hollywood/Joyce <br />(Uncontrolled "T" Intersection). <br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Eastbrook at Joyce (Uncontrolled <br />"T" Intersection). <br />
