<br />REQUEST OF AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY TO CONDUCT ANNUAL
<br />DAFFODIL DAY SALES (MARCH 29 & 30, 1984) REFERRED
<br />In a letter to the Board; Ms. Joan Schwanke, Daffodil Day
<br />Chairman,
<br />Daffodil Days, indicated that the American Cancer Society,
<br />Indiana
<br />Division, Inc., 212 St. Peter Street; South Bend, Indiana,
<br />will be
<br />holding its annual Daffodil Day Sales on Friday, March 29
<br />and
<br />Saturday, March 30, 1984. The American Cancer Society is
<br />request-
<br />ing approval of the Board to sell daffodils on the public
<br />on those two dates at the following locations:
<br />sidewalks
<br />1. Mini mall downtown
<br />2. County -City Building
<br />3. Various corners on Michigan & Main Streets;
<br />downtown
<br />4. Marriott Hotel
<br />5. Ironwood and Edison
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and
<br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic
<br />and Lighting and'the Police Department Traffic Division for
<br />review and recommendation.
<br />REQUESTS FOR INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTS REFERRED
<br />Mr. Leszczynski presented to the Board two (2) requests for the
<br />installation of street lights. The first request was received
<br />from Marianna`Candido of 930 East Sorin and several neighbors
<br />requesting that a street light be installed in the area of 930
<br />East Sorin Street. The second request was received from Mrs..
<br />Ferraro, 1921 East Washington Street and several neighbors,
<br />requesting that a street light be installed between Ellsworth
<br />and Coquillard on Washington Street. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above two
<br />■ (2) requests were referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting
<br />for review and recommendation.
<br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and
<br />carried, the following thirteen (13) handicapped parking permit
<br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's
<br />office for issuance of permits:

<br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN -UP -OF LOTS REPORT
<br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a
<br />total of thirty-three (33) properties cleaned from March 5, 1984
<br />through March 9, 1984 was submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the report was
<br />filed.
