REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 5, 1984 <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following three (3) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />REMOVE RESIDENTIAL PARKING - East side of 600/700 N. <br />Lafayette with the exception of 702 N. Lafayette which <br />will remain a residential zone. (Property no longer <br />residential use). Requested by: Carl Ellison, <br />Memorial Hospital. <br />REMOVE RESIDENTIAL PARKING - East side of 800 N. Main <br />with the exception of 814 & 826 which will remain a <br />residential zone. (Houses removed, parking lots <br />installed or property no longer a residential use). <br />Requested by: Carl Ellison, Memorial Hospital. <br />INSTALL NO PARKING 7AM - 9AM, 3PM - 5PM, EXCEPT SAT. & SUN. - <br />1208 Napier. (Handicapped School Bus pickup). Requested <br />by: Councilwoman Braboy'. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., Engineering Department, recommended <br />that the Contractor's Bond for Muia Construction Company, Inc. <br />be released effective March 5, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski; seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above <br />Contractor's Bond was released. <br />APPROVE EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Ray S. Andrysiak, P.E., Engineering Department, recommended <br />that the Excavation Bond for D & M Excavating be•a.pproved effective <br />March 5, 1984. Upon a motion made by 1�1r. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Excavation Bond was approved. <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the following nine _(9)-handicapped parking permit <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance of permits: <br />Michael T. Burns, 202 W. Oak <br />Robert Bond, 633 Diamond, S.B. <br />Phillip F. Mumaw, 4802 Skye Ct., S.B. <br />Leo Cwiklinski, 2752 Eller, Apt. C, Mish. <br />Charles M. Wiley, 3107 S. St. Joseph, S.B. <br />Minnie Hatcher, 1046 N. Huey, S.B. <br />C.H. Poehlman, 1209 Hillcrest, S.B. <br />George Ganker, 114 Wakewa, S.B. <br />James W. Kloote, 61520 Brightwood, S.B. <br />REQUEST TO HAVE PARKING SPACE AT 633 DIAMOND DESIGNATED <br />AS A HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE REFERRED <br />Mr. Robert Bond, 633 Diamond Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, requested <br />that the parking space in front of his residence at 633 Diamond <br />Avenue be designated as a handicapped parking space as he has <br />considerable back pain and cannot walk for any distance. Up -on <br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. <br />
