NJ <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 16. 1984 <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS.- RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL <br />Mr. Kernan advised that the following three (3) Rubbish and <br />Garbage license applications have been received: <br />Hurie Lee Hetterson <br />1054 Georgianna Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Eddie Lee Ivory <br />1302 Linden Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Wilford Smith <br />1614 Longley <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />It was noted that inspections of the trucks to be used have been <br />conducted by the Solid Waste Bureau and all applicants were found <br />to be in compliance. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above license applications were <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - SECONDHAND DEALERS <br />Mr. Kernan advised that the following two (2) secondhand dealers <br />license applications have been received: <br />Name: MIAMI JEWELRY <br />By: FRANK ANASTASIO <br />Address: 1906 Miami Street <br />For the purpose of selling: Various Items <br />Name: U.S. AMVETS <br />By: JAMES F. REAVES <br />Address: 1015 South Michigan Street <br />For the purpose of selling: clothes and miscellaneous <br />Mr. Kernan further advised that favorable recommendations were <br />received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of <br />Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department on the <br />above applications. Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded <br />by Mr. Hill and carried, the above license applications were <br />approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for <br />issuance. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the following two (2) traffic control devices were approved: <br />INSTALL 2 HOUR PARKING 6 AM - 6 PM MONDAY THPLU FRIDAY - <br />West side of Huey from Lincolnway West North to 1st <br />alley (Adjacent to 2201 Lincolnway West). (To promote <br />curb space turnover). Requested by: Dr. Lawshea, <br />2201 Lincolnway West. <br />INSTALL STOP SIGN - On Marine at Broadway. (To assign <br />right-of-way at offset angle intersection of Broadway, <br />Marine, Raymond Court). <br />APPROVE HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMITS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Kernan, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, <br />the following forty (40) handicapped parking permit applications <br />were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office <br />for issuance of permits: <br />1 <br />1 <br />
