REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 17, 1985 <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - OPEN AIR STANDS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following license applications <br />have been received: <br />NAME: River Park Lions Club Christmas Trees <br />BY: James F. Chaucer, President <br />ADDRESS: 5922 W. 7th St., Indpls., IN <br />STAND TO BE LOCATED AT:Corner 25th & Mishawaka Avenue <br />DATES: 12/1/85 - 12/25/85 <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF: Selling Christmas Trees <br />NAME: Christmas Tree Sales <br />BY: Julie Morgan <br />ADDRESS: 3120 So. Main Street, So. Bend, IN <br />STAND TO BE LOCATED AT:Corner of Chippewa & So. Main St. <br />DATES: 11/29/85 - 12/24/85 <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF: Selling Christmas Trees <br />NAME: Centre Township Lions Club <br />BY: John Kibiger <br />ADDRESS: 54510 Whispering Oak Dr., Mishawaka <br />STAND TO BE LOCATED AT:Southeast corner of Scottsdale Mall <br />behind Amoco Station <br />DATES: 12/5/85 - 12/24/85 <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF: Selling Christmas Trees <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Police Department, Department of Code <br />Enforcement, and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for the <br />license applications of River Park Lions Club and Christmas Tree <br />Sales. Additionally provided with the applications were letters <br />of permission from the property owners. Therefore, upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the <br />above referred to license applications were approved and referred <br />to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of permits. <br />Additionally, as the Centre Township Lions Club has not yet <br />provided a letter of permission from the property owner and the <br />Police Department background check has not yet been received, <br />upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the license application was approved subject to the <br />above requirements being provided. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the Certificate of Insurance for Memorial Health <br />Systems, Inc., et al., 615 North Michigan Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, was accepted and filed. <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORT <br />A report from the Department of Code Enforcement indicating a <br />total of sixty-five (65) properties cleaned from December 6, 1985 <br />to December 13, 1985, was submitted. Upon a motion made by Ms. <br />Barnard, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the report as <br />submitted was filed. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - NOVEMBER <br />The Humane Society report for the month of November indicated the <br />following matters handled for the City of South Bend: <br />DOGS HANDLED: 237 <br />CATS HANDLED: 131 <br />OTHER ANIMALS HANDLED: 36 <br />BITE CASES HANDLED: 10 <br />COMPLAINTS HANDLED: 161 <br />
