REGULAR MEETING JULY 29, 1985 <br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADDENDUM <br />The following Community Development Addendum was presented to the <br />Board for approval: <br />ADDENDUM I <br />NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING SERVICES <br />NHS REVOLVING LOAN FUND ACTIVITY <br />Addendum I indicates a change in the project number and a <br />modification of the scope of services by allowing loans to <br />landlords. Additionally, the contract amount has been <br />decreased by $100,000.00. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the Addendum was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT - SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 840 <br />SOUTH KENTUCKY STREET <br />In accordance with the bid awarded on June 24, 1985 for the <br />purchase of the City -owned lot at 840 South Kentucky Street in <br />the amount of $200.00 to Ms. Beverly Millsaps, 608 S. Summit_ <br />Street, Apt.;: , South Bend, Indiana, the Purchase Agreement was , <br />submitted to the Board for approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the Purchase <br />Agreement was approved and the matter referred to the City, <br />Attorney's office for drafting of the appropriate Quit -Claim <br />Deed. <br />APPROVE CONSENT TO AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ASSIGNMENT AND <br />AGREEMENT TO SUBORDINATE LEASE TO MORTGAGE - PALAIS ROYALE <br />Submitted to the Board for approval was the above referred to <br />document which indicates that the City acknowledges the <br />assignment of all rents and income payable by the City under the <br />Lease Agreement and consents to and approves the assignment to <br />the National Bank and Trust Company, 112 West Jefferson <br />Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana. It was noted that the rental <br />payments made by the City will be paid to the National Bank and <br />Trust Company. It further indicates that the City agrees that <br />the Lease Agreement and the rights of the City thereunder, shall <br />be subject and subordinate to the lien of the mortgage granted by <br />the developer to The National Bank and Trust Company of South <br />Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Ms. Barnard,.seconded by <br />Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the document was approved and <br />executed. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS AND TITLE <br />SHEETS: <br />1. NHS PHASE II (CORBY BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENTS) PROJECT <br />2. NAPIER & WAYNE CURB AND WALK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br />3. MICHIGAN STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br />Mr. Neil Shanahan, Manager, Bureau of Public Construction, <br />requested that the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for <br />the above referred to projects. Additionally submitted were <br />Title Sheets for said projects. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the request was <br />approved and the appropriate Title Sheets signed. <br />APPROVE BLOCK PARTY REOUEST - 1300 BLOCK EAST WASHINGTON <br />In a letter to the Board, Mrs. Robert Peltz, 1328 East Washington <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to close the <br />1300 block of East Washington Street on July 31, 1985 from 5:00 <br />p.m. to 11:00 p.m. for a neighborhood block party. Mr. <br />Leszczynski advised that this request has been reviewed by the <br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and they recommend approval <br />1 <br />
