REGULAR MEETING JUNE 3, 1985 <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY IN THE 900 BLOCK OF SOUTH <br />36TH STREET (JUNE 8, 1985) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Joseph J. Pluta, Director, <br />Division of Engineering and Captain Edward Friend, Police <br />Department Traffic Division have reviewed the request of Ms. Karla <br />Bronicki, 930 South 36th Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct a <br />block party in the 900 block of 36th Street on June 8, 1985, from <br />10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and recommended approval. It was noted <br />that the petitioner will be responsible for the closing and <br />opening of the streets and alleys with barricades to be provided <br />by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above <br />recommendation was accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY IN 1800 BLOCK OF DENSLOW <br />DRIVE (JULY 4, 1985) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Joseph J. Pluta, Director, <br />Division of Engineering and Captain Edward Friend, Police <br />Department Traffic Division, have reviewed the request of Mrs. Ray <br />Geopfrich to conduct a block party in the 1800 block of Denslow <br />Drive on July 4, 1985, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., submitted to <br />the Board on May 20, 1985, and recommends approval. It was noted <br />that the petitioner will be responsible for the closing and <br />opening of the streets and alleys with barricades to be provided <br />by the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Vance carried, the above recommendation <br />was accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO CLOSE GRACE STREET FOR ANNIVERSARY REUNION AND <br />PARISH FESTIVAL AT ST. ADALBERT CHURCH (JULY 7, 12, 13 & 14, 1985) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Joseph J. Pluta, Director, <br />Division of Engineering and Captain Edward Friend, Police <br />Department Traffic Division, have reviewed the request of St. <br />Adalbert Church to close Grace Street, submitted to the Board on <br />May 20, 1985, and recommend approval. It was noted that the <br />petitioner will be responsible for the closing and opening of the <br />streets and alleys with barricades to be provided by the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Vance and carried, the above recommendation was <br />accepted and the request approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was <br />approved: <br />NEW INSTALLATION, MULTI -WAY STOP SIGN - On York at Clayton. <br />APPROVE OPEN AIR STAND APPLICATIONS AND SIDEWALK SALE PERMITS IN <br />CONJUNCTION WITH RIVER PARK BUSINESS ASSOCIATION FESTIVAL <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following Open Air Stand license <br />applications have been received in conjunction with the River Park <br />Business Association Festival to be held on July 19 & 20, 1985: <br />Henry A. Harris <br />Bobby Basham (The Charcoal Grill) <br />River Park Lions Club <br />Evalyn B.
