REGULAR MEETING MAY 28, 1985 Brookfield - between Florence and Fassnach Aves. (400-500 block) Fassnacht Ave. - between Brookfield and Johnson Streets Johnson Street - between Fassnacht and Florence (400-500 block) Florence Ave. - between Johnson and Brookfield The procession will be at approximately 11:45 a.m. along the following route: Leave the church proceeding North on Brookfield and briefly stop at 507 N. Brookfield. West on Fassnacht and then South to 504 N. Johnson, briefly stopping again. Continuing south on Johnson, then East on Florence where they will briefly stop again on the corner of Florence and Brookfield, and then back into the church. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review and recommendation. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the following four (4) traffic control devices were approved: 1. REVISE TO 2-HOUR PARKING HANDICAP ZONE - 100 S. Michigan. (Space 1 and 2 North of Jefferson, on East side of 100 S. Michigan to match existing time limit in area). 2. NEW INSTALLATION - S/L 20 WHEN CHILDREN PRESENT - 1400-1600 Wilber. (Requested by residents). 3. REVISE TO TRUCKS OVER 26,000 GVW PROHIBITED - 100 -1000 E. Donmoyer. 4. REVISE TO 35 MPH - 1400-1900 W. Sample and 2800- 5300 W. Sample. FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - APRIL The Humane Society report for the month of April indicated the following matters handled for the City of South Bend: DOGS HANDLED: 379 CATS HANDLED: 199 OTHER ANIMALS HANDLED: 2 BITE CASES HANDLED: 5 COMPLAINTS HANDLED: 146 Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above report as submitted was accepted and filed. APPROVE TITLE SHEET - NEWMAN BUILDING REMODELING PROJECT Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was approved and signed. RELEASE CONTRACTOR'S BOND Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the Contractor's Bond for Vincent Concrete Engineers, Inc. be released effective May 28, 1985. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above Contractor's Bond was released.
