REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 28, 1985 <br />Brookfield - between Florence and Fassnach Aves. (400-500 block) <br />Fassnacht Ave. - between Brookfield and Johnson Streets <br />Johnson Street - between Fassnacht and Florence (400-500 block) <br />Florence Ave. - between Johnson and Brookfield <br />The procession will be at approximately 11:45 a.m. along the <br />following route: <br />Leave the church proceeding North on Brookfield and <br />briefly stop at 507 N. Brookfield. West on Fassnacht <br />and then South to 504 N. Johnson, briefly stopping again. <br />Continuing south on Johnson, then East on Florence <br />where they will briefly stop again on the corner of <br />Florence and Brookfield, and then back into the church. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of Traffic <br />and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division for review <br />and recommendation. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, the following four (4) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />1. REVISE TO 2-HOUR PARKING HANDICAP ZONE - 100 S. <br />Michigan. (Space 1 and 2 North of Jefferson, <br />on East side of 100 S. Michigan to match <br />existing time limit in area). <br />2. NEW INSTALLATION - S/L 20 WHEN CHILDREN PRESENT - <br />1400-1600 Wilber. (Requested by residents). <br />3. REVISE TO TRUCKS OVER 26,000 GVW PROHIBITED - <br />100 -1000 E. Donmoyer. <br />4. REVISE TO 35 MPH - 1400-1900 W. Sample and 2800- <br />5300 W. Sample. <br />FILING OF HUMANE SOCIETY REPORT - APRIL <br />The Humane Society report for the month of April indicated the <br />following matters handled for the City of South Bend: <br />DOGS HANDLED: <br />379 <br />CATS HANDLED: <br />199 <br />OTHER ANIMALS HANDLED: <br />2 <br />BITE CASES HANDLED: <br />5 <br />COMPLAINTS HANDLED: <br />146 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard <br />and carried, the above report as submitted was accepted and filed. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - NEWMAN BUILDING REMODELING PROJECT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above <br />referred to project was being presented at this time for <br />execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. <br />Barnard and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was <br />approved and signed. <br />RELEASE CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Mr. Melvin Humphrey, Engineering Department, recommended that the <br />Contractor's Bond for Vincent Concrete Engineers, Inc. be released <br />effective May 28, 1985. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above Contractor's Bond <br />was released. <br />
