Cunningham (C.A.V.C.O.) <br />APPROVE CIRCUS LICENSE - SOUTH BEND SHRINE CLUB, INC. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the South Bend Shrine Club, Inc. has <br />applied for a Circus License for a Circus to be held at the 4-H <br />Fairgrounds on May 30 & 31, 1985. Favorable recommendations have <br />been received from the Board of Zoning Appeals, the South Bend <br />Police Department, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, St. Joseph <br />County Health Department and Area Plan Commission. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Vance, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above <br />Circus License Application was approved. <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Thomas D. Eslinger, President, <br />Eslinger Furniture & Appliances, Inc., 2701 South Michigan Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana, advised that Eslinger's is preparing for <br />their annual tent sale to be held from July 9-31, 1985 and is <br />requesting permission to erect a tent for the sale. Mr. Eslinger <br />provided with his letter a letter from City Awning of South Bend, <br />1835 South Franklin Street, South Bend, Indiana, certifying as to <br />Flame Retardancy of the 30x90 tent and a site plan indicating <br />where the tent will be located is forthcoming. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and carried, the above <br />request was referred to the Building Department, Bureau of Traffic <br />& Lighting, Fire Department and Police Department Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST CURB IN FRONT OF 1709 S. DOUGLAS STREET BE DESIGNATED AS A <br />HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE - REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. John Pecsi, 1709 S. Douglas Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested that two (2) handicapped signs be <br />placed in front of his house at the above address. He stated that <br />he is handicapped and there is a lack of available parking on his <br />street. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. <br />Barnard and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation. <br />REQUEST TO BLOCK STREETS FOR PROCESSION - ST. STANISLAUS CHURCH - <br />REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Nancy Zaworski, Liturgy Commission, <br />St. Stanislaus Church, 415 N. Brookfield Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, requested permission for the following streets to be <br />blocked off for a procession of 75-100 people on June 9, 1985: <br />I <br />0 <br />I <br />
