REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 25, 1985 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Barnard and <br />carried, the above bids were referred to the Fire Department for <br />review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADDENDA <br />The following Community Development Addenda were presented to the <br />Board for approval: <br />ADDENDUM I <br />NATIONAL CENTER FOR URBAN ETHNIC AFFAIRS <br />NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL STRIP STUDY <br />Addendum I indicates a change in the Allowable Costs category in <br />that the total cost of this activity shall not exceed $20,271.00. <br />ADDENDUM I <br />NORTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL <br />NORTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER ACTIVITY <br />Addendum I indicates a change in the Cost Categories in that <br />general eligible cost categories are limited to telephone and <br />utility costs associated with operating the Northeast Neighborhood <br />Center. The total cost of this activity shall not exceed <br />$4,500.00. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Vance and <br />carried, the above Addenda were approved and executed. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND (RE: PROJECT NO. RRS-S052(2) WALNUT STREET <br />AT CONRAIL AND GRAND TRUNK RAILROADS IN SOUTH BEND <br />Mr. Leszczynski submitted to the Board for approval an Agreement <br />between the Indiana Department of Highways and the City of South <br />Bend in regards to Project No. RRS-S052(2). The Agreement <br />indicates that through the cooperation of the City, the State and <br />the Federal Highway Administration, the above referred to project <br />has been approved by the Federal Highway Administration for <br />Federal Aid funding. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the project <br />consists of the rubberization of the railroad tracks at Walnut and <br />Indiana Avenue. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Ms. Barnard and carried, the Agreement as submitted was <br />approved and executed. <br />REQUEST OF INDIANA & MICHIGAN ELECTRIC COMPANY TO ERECT <br />MARQUEE -TYPE STRUCTURE ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY IN FRONT OF THEIR <br />BUILDING AT 220 WEST COLFAX AVENUE REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. C. Allen Wickizer, Administrative <br />Assistant, Indiana & Michigan Electric Company, 220 West Colfax <br />Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to erect a <br />marquee -style structure on the front of their building over the <br />sidewalk area at the Main Office located at 220 West Colfax <br />Avenue. Additionally submitted with the request was a rendering <br />of the proposed marquee which included the dimensions of the <br />structure. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Vance and carried, the above request was referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting and the Building Department for review and <br />recommendation. <br />REQUEST OF UNITED RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY TO <br />CONDUCT WALK - JUNE 9, 1985 REFERRED <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. James Fisko, Executive Director, <br />United Religious Community of St. Joseph County, 319 South Main <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised that URC will be holding a <br />ecumenical observance of the religious feast of Pentecost on <br />Sunday, June 9, 1985, from approximately 3-5:30 p.m. Tentatively, <br />a religious service will be held in Century Center at 3:00 p.m., <br />
