REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 11, 1985 <br />1 <br />0 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:38 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 1985, by President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. Richard L. Hill and Mr. <br />Michael L. Vance present. Also present was Assistant City <br />Attorney Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Vance, and <br />carried, the minutes of the March 4, 1985, regular meeting of the <br />Board were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - EAST BANK DEMOLITION 1985 <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for <br />the above referred to project. The Clerk tendered proofs of <br />publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County <br />News which were found to be sufficient. It was noted that the <br />Engineer's Estimate for this project is $25,000.00 and is for the <br />demolition of the South Bend Screw building and the Langsenkamp <br />Refrigeration building. The bid of Warner and Sons indicated one <br />exclusion at this time which is the removal of and disposal of <br />forty-three (43) barrels containing possible hazardous waste <br />stored on the South Bend Screw site. <br />
